This temple is unique and one of its kind. A lying down hanuman. What I don't understand is that people were taking selfie with the god...can't understand why ???

The ancient story states, during the Ramayana era, when Lord Hanuman was in search of Sanjeevani remedy for Lakshmana, this was the place where he rested. Hence, the idol in the temple is seen in a sleeping position. This is one of the 3 temples in India. Must keep in your itinerary while your visit to Ellora caves.

This temple is located about 30 kms from Aurangabad central bus stand. If coming by public transportation from Aurangabad then there are buses say every 30-40 minutes to Khuladabad from Central Bus stand Aurangabad. There are also share autos from Aurangabad Railway station to Khulabad( They charge Rs 50 per person but i am not sure about frequency of such share autos ).From Khuladabad bus stand one has to catch an auto this temple which costs Rs 50. This temple(Along with Aurangzeb tomb) can be easily clubbed on the day of visiting Ellora caves/Gruhaneshwar temple. From Ellora caves this temple is about 5 Kms.

We got a share Auto from entrance of ellora caves which charged us Rs 20 per person upto Bhadra Maruthi temple.

This is a small temple. We reached this temple in afternoon at about 3 Pm and there were only few pilgrims in the temple. The main attraction that draws pilgrims here is the statute of lord Hanuman which is in sleeping position. We could stand in front of the lord for the time we wanted as there were only few pilgrims at the time we went.

No good restaurants are available near this temple so have food at Ellora/Aurangabad before visiting this temple.

Not a must visit temple but can be clubbed with Ellora caves.

One can easily add this temple to their itinerary while visiting the Ellora caves. It is a temple of lord Hanuman. The idol is in sleeping posture. Quite pious and devotees hold this temple quite high in the list.

One of the three temples in India ,where the idol of Lord Hanuman is in horizontal position. Presently the external premises is under renovation,so the structural beauty of the premises is not fully visible

Bhadra maruti temple is located between Ellora caves and Daulatabad fort. The temple premises is big.
The temple is good with God in lying position. The ground nearby is dusty and windy.
There is a hall nearby where they serve lunch to devotees at nominal rates.

The temple is located in Khuldabad, near Aurangabad. Lord Maruti's idol in the temple is in reclining position.
We visited the place on Sunday, but the temple was not much crowded. Learnt that, except for Saturday and Tuesday, the temple is not much crowded.
The original temple was small, now it is being expanded with new constructions.
There are stalls selling souvenir and devotional items as well as restaurants near the temple.

A well managed temple. Also has a Shani temple in the same campus where you can also pray. The hanumanji idol is awesome. If you visit any other day then Tuesday or Saturday, I believe there would be less rush. Yes - The aura of the idol is to be felt.
