If you want to strengthen the respect for the great Maratha king Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj do visit this place. Have to go on the fort by rope way alternatively you can trek. Take a guide it will help.

Its about 120kms away from Pune.We visited with friends and went up the fort by very basic, simple trek + ~1000 steps. I recommend this route if you are fit to climb ~1500 steps. The track reduces about 500 steps and is definitely worth it....More
