We were happy to pay the entrance fee to see this group of temples. Some may object to the landscaping - very green, very neat - but sometimes it's just great to get out of the streets, away from anybody selling anything, and just enjoy the serenity and the journey into the past.

Spend an hour or spend a day and you'll still feel short of time, looking up these fabulous temples and architecture. Beautiful complex. Don't be rushed by the guides. Walk and look at these at your own pace. The western group in the best to see and spend more time.

Beautiful Temple full of intricately carved walls which clearly show the level of advancement in Indian society a thousand years ago. The craftsmanship is worth seeing. A must see.

Unbelievably beautiful temple site with intricate carvings and all so meticulously maintained. A place to contemplate and get away from the hustle and bustle that is India.

Kandariya might be derived from Kandara, meaning cave. Shivalinga sits deep inside here and can be seen in full majesty upon entering the cave like entrance

The sheer intricacy of the architecture is mind blowing. Do not miss this. To think that this was done more than a 1000 years ago....

The sculptures are really crazy and would be racy even in today's standards. A must see if you come to Khajuraho.

One of the temples in the western union complex, ticket costs 500 rupees for 4 temples in the complex, this one is part of the complex. You can go inside of temple, you need to put off your shoes. It smells like pee inside and maybe bats poo together. For me nothing specific inside, except of the smell. From outside... More
