Could have been a fabulous beach, non rocky and super waves. But black sands at many places and garbage littered. Dominated by beach shack owners. Avoid peak evening public rush.

Varkala beach is charming in its own way. Very neat and less crowded than the other beaches around. What else is better combination than the sun, sand and water. Go and fall in love with the place.

We again tried yesterday afternoon at the main beach and here in front of the cliff. We were not allowed to swim. I will try the main beach again later today.
