Great place to be in the company of the creator
Sep 2019
Being a very old temple, it has a very rich history. A search for the temple on the internet gives one a quick run throuhg history. The temple and surroundings are clean and very well maintained. Gents are required to be bare chested while in the temple of the main deity. Adjacent to the temple is the temple pond. An early morning visit to the temple to is a great way to meditate and get energised. The west side temple entrance provides road level access to the temple without the need to climbe steep stairs.

Ancient and Vibrant

A must visit on your Varkala trip is this ancient temple. It is said to 2000 years old and has beautiful traditional architecture,The environment is very vibrant and peaceful. There is a very old Kailashpati tree in full glorious bloom where people have given offerings of dolls and cradles. In the evening there is aarti and the entire temple is lit by oil lamps .We are blessed to have such vibrant temples in our country.

Quick visit if you are in Varakala. The temple is reputed to be more than 2000 years old. Unlike bigger temples, the rush is very less and you can spend a peaceful time.
