Good view of sunset and sunrise. Had a lot of parking space there in the helipad. Lots of restaurants, resorts and shops are there when you walk in the cliff and there is steps downwards for beach also

One of the main attractions in Varkala. Has two parts, the north and the south. North strip has a wide variety of restaurants and resorts and is closer to the helipad. Very calming to just gaze at the tides.

It gives a mini Goa kind of feel, lots of small shops selling touristy stuff as well as restaurants. All are along the cliff edge, so you get a nice view of the sea while strolling around or eating. There are no bars/pubs that I noticed, but the restaurants will serve you booze on request. The parking area doubles as a helipad, not sure if its active or not. Expensive, but definitely worth a visit to spend an evening.

Varkala Cliff is located in Varkala town. The cliff has a huge parking near the Varkala Helipad. From here you can walk along the cliff and enjoy the view. On one side is the sea and on the other side are shops, hotels and restaurants. It's a nice walk and you can also walk down to the beach using the steps. The restaurant here offer not only Indian food but also continental, Italian and other kind of English food. The cliff is frequented by foreigners a lot since the place is very calm and peaceful. Sunset is a must watch from the cliff. One day stay is recommended.

Stunning views above the ocean. Great shopping, restaurants and sunsets. A bit pricier than other areas but lots of options and good vibes, due to the yoga scene. That said, shop keepers can be pushy but there are some nice things to buy, including spiritual books, yoga gear and the like. Well worth a visit when in Kerala.

We walked around this area a few times and enjoyed sunset here. Lots of shopping for tourist items, good restaurants, and some massage places too. Enjoyed the convenience of having almost anything we needed here.

Must visit, preferably in the evenings. There are lots of restaurants here but during our visit mostly were closed. Of course it is a tourist spot so the prices are on the higher side. You can walk down to the beach through a steep and unsafe stairway made of rocks which is not recommended for elderly. The beach is clean and beautiful.

Such an amazing spot for sight seeing and relaxing. The view from the cliff to the beach is just amazing. The varkala cliff is about one kilometers long and we can walk through the cliffs enjoying the beautiful sight of sea. On the other side of the cliff, its filled with resorts and shops that aimed at foreigners coming here.

We loved the view from here at any time of the day.
Morning swims or late afternoon so as not to burn being fair skinned. The Blue Water Resort was a great port of call.
