Informative tour

This was a very informative and interesting tour. The host was very enthusiastic and knowledgable about spices and their growing. Along with us seeing them growing and smelling them, he gave a little lecture on each regarding their use and properties. Recommended.

Highly recommended place to visit

Overall incredibly inspiring tour of the plantation. Learned a wealth of information.
The owner of the self-sustainable plantation, Benny, was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about all of the various plants and animals on-site. He made the experience even more memorable by sharing various leaves and fruit to let me taste and smell throughout the tour. I would love to come back as a workaway experience sometime in the near future. Thanks Benny for all you do!

Very Informative Tour!
Feb 2020
I chose this as my one spice & plant tour because it was organic and an environmentally sustainable farm. The owner/farmer Benny is 5th generation and has extensive knowledge of each plant and passionate about sharing. Students come there for hands on learning. well worth your time for sure. He has a small shop where you can purchase some fresh organic spices harvested there. I got a bottle of organic coconut oil that is wonderful.

Benny is knowledgeable and passionate about farming, Ayurveda, and sustainability
Feb 2020 • Couples
Benny has 5 generations of knowledge in countless categories from farming, agriculture, Ayurveda, sustainably, and building and it clearly shows. We were guests in one of his treehouse rooms and it was a great experience. We found the room on Airbnb and honestly thought it was just a hotel room but it was more guesthouse experience and we were welcomed into the family. His wife cooked delicious Keralan breakfast for us and they made sure to check with any preferences. They will allow as much privacy or immersion as you’d like. The room was clean and hot bucket shower with a nice balcony area for sitting. There was also a tour of his property which his knowledge and passion is clearly obvious and he’ll take time for any question. He likes to engage in conversations on sustainability also so he not only cares about his own business, but a better world for his children.

Good one hour spent

The place has all varieties of spices growing organically. The guide is cordial and knowledgeable. They also have a small shop selling items being grown there. I tasted some garlic and it was really tasty. You learn so much about the spices being used in your home everyday.

Great place

Benny was a great guide, nice and interesting. He has lots of knowledge about all kinds of trees, plants and spices that he and his family grow themselves. The place was full of different kinds of plants we never see before. If you are interested in sustainable way of life, permaculture and plants, this is the place to go.
