About
Kuzhupilly beach, located in Vypeen or Vypin, this white, sandy beach is ideal for swimming. The backwaters nearby are an added charm, as are the paddy fields and coconut groves on the way to the beach, where kite festivals are occasionally held.

This beach is about 40 minutes’ drive from Ernakulum and close to more famous Cherai beach. This beach is less crowded, much better than the Fort Kochi beach in town and almost at par with the Cherai beach.

On a weekend during season, the Cherai beach can be really crowded – so going to Kuzhippilly would be better. Backwaters and paddy fields on either side of the approach road to this beach is wonderful to watch. I have some pictures of sunset added to this review.

If you are interested in watching large crowds and like the carnival like atmosphere, Cherai beach would be the alternate which is only 15 minutes away.

Beautiful and peaceful beach.About 25 km from the city .Cherai beach is the nearest other beach.Public facilities are poor.Food stalls, rest rooms, waste bins, life guards are not available.Approach road is very poor. If these problem can be overcome, this can be made one of best tourist attractive beaches in Kerala.

This beach is better compared to cherai beach as it is less crowded and cleaner . we cannot get into the water as its deep and there are no life guards around . It is good for a small family outing.

This beach is situated at a distance of about 17 km from High court junction, close to cherai beach. But I prefer this beach since its more clean, calm and beautiful. There are a lot of pine trees situated here that gives shade and hence even noons can be spent here.. what i felt is here is where beauty meets tranquility.. The hospitality served by the locals and facilities provided by the panchayat are also worth mentioning.

A slightly different beach with trees planted right on the coast. Needs to be kept more clean and better facilities in terms of food and washrooms need to be offered.
