Kuzhupilly Beach

About
Kuzhupilly beach, located in Vypeen or Vypin, this white, sandy beach is ideal for swimming. The backwaters nearby are an added charm, as are the paddy fields and coconut groves on the way to the beach, where kite festivals are occasionally held.

This one is a less touristy and less crowded beach than the famous Cherai one. And that is probably its biggest blessing. We witness a peaceful sunset on a Saturday evening. There was hardly any crowd. Only handful food stalls available selling good tea and pazham pori (banana fritters) or fish fritters.

Visited with my friends it was one of the cleanliness and nice beach. We enjoyed a lot, required some more food stall over there, it was only few ice cream stall over there. Little crowd on weekend, required some toilet and changing room over there. Rest all are well and good

A good way to spend a quite evening - the beach and the backwater combo is what makes it irresistable. The road leading to the kuzhupilly beach has beautiful views of the backwaters on either side of the road.

The main beach can get crowded on weekend evening and you might struggle with finding a parking. Would strongly suggest to avoid the main beach during the weekends and visit the adjacent quiter and calmer beaches (1 Km away from the main beach).

It is a less populated beach near Cherai Beach. Required lots of promotion to attract more people. Only few ice cream shops are there. Toilets facilities are limited or nil

This is such an underrated beach. It has quite something about it that makes it different from the usual beaches, probably the luscious trees that pan through the area. The way to the beach itself is scenic.

It was just a casual step-in-to this untainted naked beauty of which I did not have an idea till those captivating moments of the visit in the afternoon yesterday. As soon as you negotiate the second curve of the "Pallatthankulangara valavu" around the "Pallatthankulangara Temple" on the way to Cherai from Goshree Junction in Vypeen, lush green buzzling island near Kochi, take the first left turn from the curve, drive barely 2 kilometres into the fabulous beach hemmed with long rows of pines. Soon you find yourself "lost" in the beautiful environs, no doubt. A clean beach fringed with pine trees and decked with a necklace of 'azzuro' waters is mesmerising. Friendly locals are another plus point. The only downside is lack of Govt.personnel to assist the visitors.

Renowned Kuzhuppilly Beach is just 2 kilometres away on the left of this Pallatthankulangara Beach. The beautiful resort 'Indriyam' is just a stone's throw away from this untainted beach.

A lonely place except for some locals, boats waiting on the sand for their absent owners, and no life guards, so you swim at your own peril...
If you are looking for peace at the beach, you may well find it here, except for the friendly families and groups from the neighborhood, who will probably ask politely before taking photos of the picturesque foreigners visiting this place off the beaten track, maybe later even inviting you to their homes.
Your tuk-tuk driver will wait for several hours if you ask him. Besides trees and sand, there is nothing else there except for a small hindu shrine. It is a one-hour walk to Cherai beach - a resort place - if you have dismissed your driver.

A nice peaceful beach. Not a very developed place with much facilities, but it is a vastly undisturbed place. There are no eateries nearby. There is a pine first adjacent to it. Nice place to relax and chill out
