Two days was perfect. Stayed at Malabar house which was outstanding. Tried Brunton Boatyard jetty at Forte Kochi, and Malabar for meals, all outstanding experiences. The coffee shop Kashi again what an eclectic experience. Some other places to try were the old lighthouse by the water, sea gull by the port, pandyan for a lighter in between bite.

Worst maintained beach. Kerala tourism dont even care to keep the shores clean. Shore is full of waste dumped from sea and tourist. Sunset view is good. We went on Christmas day it was fully crowded

Fort Kochi, Fort Cochin in English, Cochim de Baixo ("Lower Kochi") in Cochin Portuguese creole, is a locality in the Ernakulam district of Kerala, India. The locality is 16 km away from Cochin city and takes its name from Fort Manuel of Cochin,[1] the first European fort on Indian soil, annexed into the Portuguese East Indies.[2] This is part of a handful of water-bound islands and islets toward the south-west of the mainland Kochi, and collectively known as Old Cochin or West Kochi. Adjacent to this is Mattancherry. In 1967, these three municipalities, along with a few adjoining areas, were amalgamated to form the Corporation of Cochin.

Another beach loosing its beauty with time no shops or vendors in the morningThe beautiful beach along with Arabian Sea had scenic views and fishing nets. Natural clalamities spoiled most of the rich and heritage sites including the Fort Pistol and entrance were denied mostly occupied by Navy and privacy ultimately being suffered by the tourists.

The beach is clean. At one point there is a chinese fishing net and you can experience how the fish is caught using the chinese fishing net. There is a small park and a few stalls. Not that great an experience

There is a lot of work being done for the 'Smart City' operation with piles of gravel scattered in various areas.
The whole area along the beaches looks abandoned by vendors and restaurants remaining closed or shut down and plenty of litter piled up along the promenade.
The ferries were running and the fishermen were seen which made up for a disappointing trip here.
