    Must visit in Kochi
Just take a stroll for an hour. There are many shops on the way for purchase and eateries. Many boat services are available which can be done for one hour. They take you through a small round which is very much enjoyable. Best to visit during evenings.

Very pleasant waterfront walkway on mainland Ernakulam
Marine drive is a traffic artery parallel to the river in Ernakulam. It is lined with hotels, banks, shopping centers and modern residential highrises at least at parts. It has a big city feel about it, but is not exachtly appealing. The Marine drive walkway along the river is. Officially the walkway is called Abdul Kalam marg and starts near Bolgatty bridge in the north to end at the jetty near Subhash park further south. It is 2.3 km in length, right beside the waterfront. Often there is a breeze and the views over the estuary are great. The north part is still pretty much exposed to the sun, but further towards downtown Ernakulam there are shaderich trees. Small streams that flow into the estuary are bridged. There are many options to join a boat trip or to rent a private boat. I just took the 6 Rupees ferry back to Fort Kochi.

Its a nice place to sit and take a walk. I'm a cycle tour from Delhi to Kanyakumari and i got a chance to visit there at night. You can also see among boats there and if you wish you can take a tour. There is also a water metro which has recently started from Cochin.

Relaxing walk by the sea in the evening with cool breeze. Good seating areas by the sea. A bunch of streetside vendors and a few shops and small bridges. Had an excellent sunset view.

People loot money for family boating, still it's worth boating here, i paid 1500 for our family of 4 for an individual boat to take us around 5 points and duration is 1 hour, beyond that time is boring unless you love to watch water.

Marine Drive walk along the calm and cool waters of Lake Vembanad, The long in Kerala. Not only popular amongst the locals but also the tourists. It's beautiful overlooking FortbKochi where many historical buildings are there, including the Jewish Synagogue. Early morning walk to see the sun rise and evening walk to experience the sun set. Many Restaurants and shopping outlets are available. Very near to the newly opened Marine Inn Hotel and the first and the oldest Sealord Hotel.
We. Enjoyed walks and stay here.
