David hall is an art gallery and also a cafe beyond the gallery.

When I visited, paintings of a lady named Susan were displayed.

She picked up local scenes from kochi, sat between them and painted those.
They were beautiful.
They have exhibitions too.
The cafe is quite nice, surrounded by nature.

Enter David Hall and you are surrounded by beautiful paintings, photographs and art.

The first 2 rooms are Art Galleries before you get to the Dining area which is open on all sides with just the lovely bamboo and thatched roof.

The kitchen is an open counter, and you can see your dish being prepared.
Each and every item is carefully prepared to perfection. Though the Menu is very limited, you would certainly find something to tickle your palate.

Menu consists of Breakfast items, Lunch time eats, Light Bites, Italian and Mexican dishes, Pizzas & Calzone, Beverages & Desserts. Mind you, the choice under each of these categories is very limited. Photographs of the 2 page menu are attached.

Seating is limited to just 18 persons in totality, so be patient if it is full. It would be worth the wait.

The Pizzas are simply superb.

Tucked away, but still very close to all the major attractions in Fort Kochi, this place offers a fairly limited menu, but what they offer is good. Very relaxing atmosphere - just what is needed after wandering about town. Loved the home-made sparkling lemonade. Pizzas are their specialty.

Visited the art gallery which had loads of beautiful paintings of landscapes and people around kochi area.

We then visited the cafe and I had the best stone baked thin crust pizza ever. I need a break from Indian food. There was even choose your own topping pizza. The dough is rolled out where you can see and then put in the pizza oven 😊

We enjoyed a cup of coffee and homemade cake here sitting outside under fans, the gallery inside had a lovely selection of paintings including some painted by school children.

More than three centuries old Dutch bungalow that has been restored to David Hall, a cultural centre which is now a gallery for contemporary arts and a platform for young artists. It's a meeting place for art lovers and for performing arts. The café serves good beverages, snacks, pizzas etc. I have visited the David Hall Gallery & Cafe on several occasions, the last time I went there with a friend who came on leave from USA. He came to know about the it through a friend and he wanted to visit the Art Gallery. The art works displayed in the hall, the outdoor seating etc makes the ambience great. We spent almost two hours there, had pizza and fresh juices and the time we spent inside the heritage building was really memorable. .

First time here and I'm definitely a fan of their thin crust pizza.

This is a lovely little cafe come restaurant behind the art gallery. They have limited seating (outdoor), and the menu is compact with a good variety of food and drinks. We tried their Earth pizza which was moist and yummy. Their guava and ash gourd drink was surprisingly good. And the french fries were on point.

I would most definitely go back.

Note: It is outdoors, so despite overhead fans, it got a little warm.

We dropped into David’s Hall Gallery whilst staying down the road at Malabar House . The gallery is housed in a impressive colonial Dutch building dating back to 1695. The gallery houses numerous artworks from local artist & a small cafe out the back which has a lovely ambience. It was very quiet the day we visited which was a shame as this gallery has enormous potential.
