About
David Hall is a beautiful old Dutch bungalow that has been restored and has taken on a new life as a cultural centre with a gallery for contemporary art, with a focus on providing a platform for young artists. With its café serving authentic thin crust pizzas, delicious bites and beverages; and a space for performing arts, the historic building could be an inspiring, vibrant meeting place for fresh talent and lovers of art.

A place to come back to
We visited this place on a recommendation and it turned out to be an excellent suggestion. The place was pretty, and the food was beyond amazing. We ordered pan-seared fish, prawns with egg floss, and pork tacos and relished them all. The mocktails were refreshing and perfect for the weather. The staff was friendly and helpful with making choices. A must-visit at Fort Kochi. And oh yes, dogs are welcome too.

Best in Fort Cochin to eat, take coffee, and chill
Brilliant place to hang out for lunch, supper, or simply coffee and cake. Tables in shade looking out over a lovely garden; a classic 17th century building beautifully restored with high vaulted wooden ceiling, a pleasure to be in, maybe wander round looking at the art exhibitions; when I arrived someone was playing trad Hindu music adapted for the saxophone, which echoed gently from the rafters. Service is great and prices reasonable. Its close to Vasco da Gama church, chinese fishing nets etc, but main problem is that you won't want to leave.

Worth the visot and take your time for it.
Amazing place. I accidentally stumbled upon this place and entered from the back. First impression great old building, beautiful garden. Then I saw the restaurant and took a bite. I do recommend the poched egg with avocado sandwich, its really fantastic. Then I entered the bakery, the shop, and then the art gallery. I also spoke to one of the artist, it was a real fun and pleasant experience.

    Fabulous cafe
Great space both inside and out. You walk through a small art gallery area past the food counter to get to the garden. There are plenty of tables all with shade and fans. The garden is very pretty and a very green natural haven. The food and drink were all fabulous, the best coffee so far in Kerala. Their pizzas were outstanding (we ate veggie) as were the other dishes. The staff were quick and polite. Highly recommend

    Old Quite Charm
It is a beautiful old restored around 300 years old Dutch bungalow which displays a gallery with contemporary art. There is a cafe 'Pandhal Cafe & Deli' which serves full day breakfast. Out of many options the Pizza is a must try. (Roman Peperoni). It is believed to be the residence of the Dutch commander who wrested power from the Portuguese. Later only it was named David Hall after it was bought by a Jewish family, who lived there.

From outside it looks great.
Attachted to it a gallery. Nice setting, chairs in the garden. Divers bakery choices, unfortunately very sweet options only. The food was oke, not many healthy options.
So overall disappointing.

Really lovely gallery with very nice café attached. Service a little slow, but friendly. Best coffee I have had in Cochin. Yummy cheesecake.

We were 4 people who ordered in dining lunch. 3 of us got our orders. My order took a long time..so everyone kept waiting for my order to arrive. I told the person who took the order that it was better of all the food was brought together. Her response was..oh then the other food will get cold!!. This was stupid because as they were waiting for my food and their food was anyway getting cold!!
Later she brought my food and it was the wrong dish. When I asked her, she was unpaologetic, smiled and said..oh I got it wrong..No sorry, no apology.

I think that was very bad etiquette for service

This cafe is a mesmerizing escape, where nature and taste harmonize to create an unforgettable experience. The moment you step inside, you're cocooned in an ambiance that's a perfect blend of greeny, earthy, and cozy. It's like being transported to a secret garden of tranquility.

Now, about the food – it's a culinary delight that tantalizes your taste buds. The thin-crust, hand-tossed pizza is a revelation. Every slice is a masterpiece, leaving you yearning for more. And those tacos! They're not just delicious; they're a flavor explosion.

While the vegetarian options are slightly outnumbered by the non-veg choices, what's on offer is pure magic. Each dish is a mouthwatering symphony of flavors that lingers long after the meal is over.

Expect crowds, though. You might have to wait for a table, but every second is worth it. It's my go-to spot for unwinding, and the food leaves me utterly speechless.

Oh, and let's not forget the impeccable washrooms – they're spotlessly clean, a rare and welcome find. The service? Top-notch.

When in fort kochi, please visit David hall for some refreshing drinks and freshly prepared pizzas from the clay oven. The food never disappoints. It tends to get very busy around evenings and getting a table is tricky. The team however serves you with a lovely smile always. I recommend their mushroom pizza, the watermelon slushy and ofcourse not to forget the cakes from pandhal.

Pandhal is a very refreshing addition to the already existing menu. It has elevated the space extremely well.

David hall occasionally holds art exhibitions and if you love art and love to explore, this could be just the place for you.

I would like to appreciate the entire team of David hall for doing a wonderful job.
