I love this charming small bookshop hidden on Princess Street. The owner was really friendly and knew exactly what I was looking for. I was looking for Ayurveda books and he recommended me the Ayurveda for Beauty and the contents of the books were exactly what I want! They also have interesting collections of books such as Sadhus which I cannot find from my country. :) Also very charming atmosphere and interior! Love this bookshop!

Browse some of the best titles in a well organised, themed, tidy, airy space with bonus art exhibition and cafe balcony. Kochi Books is one of those great little spaces you’re glad you found, send others to and come back to whenever you’re in town. Super peaceful and calm, with no high pressure selling but tons of knowledge on hand should you require.

I m not a hard core bibliophile but this place left me spell bound. The collection seems to be very good and the manager was quite friendly . There is a collection of translations from famous Malayalam authors.

So nice to visit a real bookstore for a change. I did not spend a lot of time here for fear of buying too much to carry, so I cannot comment on the contents. Seemed to have lots of books on various subjects, not a singular type of collection, and invited browsing. The staff member I met was quite nice. Recommended.

A small selection of books that have been recently published, many languages are available here. We got a great book and would definitely go back again! The owner was lovely and discussed the books we had chosen, I really like when the owner has also read the books in the store.

A wonderful variety of books for all tastes. The staff are helpful and and the collection is quirky. They also have lovely cards and the sorts of things that appeal to westerners. It is a hidden gem, frequented by expats and tourists.

Generally, you'll find selections at independent bookstores in Fort Kochi to be a class apart from other chain bookstores around the country. This population reads and loves literature, history and politics. I found a few hard-to-find things like a double volume women's anthology I had been searching for, and spent sufficient time browsing.
