An absolute breathtaking display of one man's collection of more than 6000 artefacts over the years in th s private museum...It's a three floor mesmerising n engrossing walk thru the displays..Probably because of the shortage of space the artefacts are crammed n stuffed n no proper cleaning or upkeep is done..Also wish these were better labelled..But all in all it's... We could never have imagined what we were to see behind that small facade. The family has the most amazing collection of antiques and very well preserved. All the members are there to look after you and explain their exhibits It was a wonderful visit, full of surprises. I wish some one in every part of our country could preserve... More

This is an absolutely excellent private small museum that in scope and quality could be compared to the Frick Museum in NY. It has been created by a private collector (George Thaliath - do not miss his book at the museum shop) and it brings together bronze statues, wooden cultures, door frames and window screens, etch - together with an... This is a combination of museum and antique shop on three different levels each focusing on a different aspect of Keralan culture. It reflects the diversity of influences on the development of Kerala at different times in it's history. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the exhibits. When we visited the majority of other people there were Indian and... More

Although a little crowded, this is an important collection and should not be missed if one wants to appreciate the culture and heritage. The building itself is a work of art. I admire the commitment of George Thaliath without whom so much would have been lost.

A great collection of cultural artifacts. Not much information given about objects - the guides tended to just read off the plaques to you! But nice to just stroll around and marvel at the craftsmanship.

Stuffed with cultural objects collected by one man. Fascinating array of folkart, religious artefacts and antiquities set in a building which reflects 3 architectural styles. Lovely staff.

A place to visit if you have half a day to spare. Lot of artifacts on display. The entry fee of 100rs is overpriced. The ladies who help and explain pay more attention to guests they think would tip more.
