Bought several white gold rings, was assured that it was white gold.
Upon return home I found out it was silver.

I trusted them but they were not honest.

SCAMMERS - DO NOT VISIT THIS STORE

THESE GUYS ARE DELIBERATELY SCAMMING PEOPLE.

Purchased a shirt for $30 and found transaction on credit card for $302.60.

The store was busy and we did the 1 mistake we have always said not to do, and I think these guys were aware of the circumstances and took advantage of the situation.

DISGRACEFUL!!!

Be very careful. These guys swindled me, charging me way more than the stuff was worth. Also kind of pushy to buy more stuff. We stopped here only because we were told we could see the silk factory which has been moved to another location.

Visited in August. The shop is supposed to be a government approved store...
Just a Tourist scam.
They are selling fake jewels at high price.

This shop and these people are a shame for India.
How they can get such a label!!

Visited in February. Tuk Tuk drivers obliged to stop off there. Selling fake jewellery that can be bought on local stalls for 10% of their prices. Cruises operators should strike this place off their lists! Avoid!!!!!

THIS PLACE IS SCAM. Though I can post my experience here, i am sure only victims are going to come and read this.

I was a victim. I was taken to this store by my tuk tuk driver as part of my fort kochi tour. I knew the merchandise is going to be overpriced but i was okay with 10 - 20% extra as it is a tourist spot.

The sales guy is extremely persuasive and he puts his life on each item he sells and you kind of fall for it.

I came back to my room and checked on amazon india site. SHOCK of my life. Rs. 1000/- worth of things sold to me for Rs.42000/-. Thats pure cheating.

Government and the police in the area should shut them. Its a disgrace and abuse of tourism.

Culprits are the shop and the drivers who feed customers to them.

I gave this bunch of rip off merchants a score of 1 (one) as 0 (zero, naught, nil) is not available. Silks & Crafts museum SHOULD BE AVOIDED AT ALL COSTS. I was taken to these crooks while on an organized tour. My wife fell in love with a wooden seat/couch we had been looking for. After much negotiation we agreed on a price and delivery would be within 2-3 months. It was ordered on 8 April 19 and arrived on 4 November 19 (7 months later). What arrived was nothing like what was ordered. The ordered seat/couch was in rosewood (as stated on the order form) and of impeccable craftsmanship and what arrived was this brown rubbish of unbelievably poor workmanship. Many emails to them with my complaints have been mostly ignored and they are not interested in trying to fix this issue.

I contacted the Indian Embassy in Canberra Australia who put me onto a complaints website for Indian Companies. No help at all and the Embassy do not reply to correspondence or answer phone calls. Obviously they are sick and tired with all the complaints about Silks as the only time I was able to speak to someone he said "oh" when I mentioned Silks.

Under no circumstances buy anything from the bunch of unscrupulous rip off merchants. If you are taken there on a tour "STAY ON THE BUS - DO NOT GO INSIDE".

Our driver, Jithu, took us here to buy souvenirs and whilkst we weren't intending to get much, we ended up buying a carpet and a couple of other gifts. The carpet gallery is quite a big room and by the time we finally agreed on a particular carpet (impulsive buy), the floor was covered in different rugs. The guy was determined that we should find one that we liked. We have a lovely Kashmir silk rug and despite and despite some concerns on shipping, it arrived safely.

this is a scam place. sell stuff for high prices and do not even deliver. We bought 35,000 worth of stuff and everything looked legit. they even have a book of prior receipts where they claim to have delivered. more than a month after purchase, no communication. phone line does not exist. email does not exist. Driver who recommended place does not pick phone. its an organised crime syndicate with a legit looking brick and mortar shop.
