An breathtaking view point. It is a trekking point. We travelled there by a jeep and because of rains the uphill off road was slippery. We got down and walked up the hill.. Oh my god,,, winds were very strong gutsy and powerful. No wonder you will find windmills there. Hold on yourself… It will be one of the best views of Theni and fields on one slid and on other side…majestic mountains with mist moving… You have to experience it feel, mountains covered with clouds. Suggest to be careful as you move around. For me as of now… this experience of strong winds and mesmerizing nature is life time. Watch the video I am sharing.

An amazing place to visit. Though the view is pretty much similar to that of Ramakalmedu, it is an experience worth the effort. One can view windmills in close quarters and also experience the immense power of wind there. The wind is so powerful that you would feel that with a bit more force, you would be off flying. Despite the road leading to Chathurangapara being in very poor condition, it is a must visit place especially if you are a nature lover

Its a view point at the top of a hill. Car we can park little down over there, then can walk to the view point. Looks like a birdview from sky. Nice view of Tamilnadu from a hilltop. Windmills also there, it gives a great ambience.

A very nice place to spend an hour or so.. Very good wind , you really feel some one push you from bak. Pls. don't go to the edges. Some time the wind will stop suddenly are the come back with higher force in 3 - 4 seconds which can result in lose of balance. Pls. take extra care if children are with you.

Wonderful place to touch the skies and have a real bird's eye view of western ghats and the Tamil Nadu Theni side.
Opportunity to see and feel the wind farm on a hill top and get carried away by the wind and the ambience.

First experience of touching the base of a windmill and hearing the sound of the turbine mounted on a hill top. The drive is nearly upto the top and then one needs to walk a 30deg climb for say 200m and then we see Tamil Nadu villages deep down below and also some other windmill turbines far away in then plane.
Western Ghats separate the two states in fact the windmill is on Tamil Nadu land instead of Kerala. Good Photo shoot , picnic and fresh air view and any hill top is a always full of wind, so enjoy nature Ima green environment surrounded by hills , windmills and deep down planes.
I am sure there are trekking routes here but did not attempt

The scenic beauty is un-verbalisable. A must visit place. Till we reach there, we were moody and blamed the person who suggested this place. Bt his words were striking in my mind. "The visit will be a life long memory" As we reached there it was heaven above the clouds. Be very careful if you are accompanied by kids. They will fly away in the heavy wind, and you will have to search in TamilNadu. I suggest this as the best place in idukki.vehicle approach is there till the top wind mill. Locally ask 'KAATTADI' to reach the location.

Chathurangapara near Poopara is an ideal place for a picnic with family or friends, the area is not crowded, the gentle breeze and the tall trees together with the beautiful view from here worth spending few hours. If we go to the edge, the view is awesome but also bit scary. We spent around two hours here and since the climate was good we really enjoyed the trip.
