This is an average place with a reasonable hike and a temple/mosque at the end of the hill. There was a lot of crowd and a lot of trash around the place. The driver did a good job at driving on narrow roads to come to this place. If you go to the other highest peaks of the mountain, I would recommend you to skip this place.

From Trivik Resorts we started by car to Bababudagiri hills.
The travel was thrilling as the katcha Roads were allowing only one vehicle oneside. There's no protection as there is no protective fence on the other side. As we approach closer to the Bbh,6km.road is safe and well done.
The cave is said to be CENTURY old and baba's Dharga is deeply situated. Dattatryas peta is lit with lamps.
The view point is another small journey to take on a muddy road that takes us to the peak. A sight for eyes and selfies.
Returned to the Resorts.

This is a great place to visit to view some verdant scenery. Amazing beauty! It lies close to the Mulyangiri peak, but there's a different road to take to reach this spot. The roads are okay but kinda narrow. The last hundred meters or so is in poor shape.
There's no fee to visit this place. However, this could be much better maintained by the Government. The parking area is a mess and dirty.
Nice places to go for a walk around this spot

Lush greens with the red soil and jagged rocks mark the terrain of this spot. Less crowded than Mullyangiri and has more scope for exploring.
Visit around 7-8 AM on a sunny day and on a foggy day, anytime should be fine however you might not get the same views.
Also, have a very good taxi hire recommendation for Chikmagalur. Calm, good driver and safe to travel with. Girls or families looking to hire a car for local sightseeing or driving back to Bangalore, do get in touch with Premdeep of SN Travels.

Baba budangiri is hill with beautiful landscape. This year (2022) is the year where you can witness Neelakurinji flowers which blooms once in 12 years. Landscape is spreaded across with these flowers. Looks amazing. Road is good to reach this space. You will find small water falls on the way to Baba budangiri. This place is around 1 hour journey from Chikmagalur. Absolutely worth to visit.

* Very nice location.
* Holy place for both the communities.
* Dangerous curves on the ghats. Drive carefully.
* Very small and tiny waterfalls you come across while going up the hill.
* Lots of Greenary and only Greenary you get at this place. Very ideal to spend anything between 02-03 hrs after reaching the hilltop.
* Food Stalls are available at the top of the hill.
* the Last place where baba budan stayed is located in the caves, later he disappeared deep inside the caves and hence he is called Zinda Peer. To reach that place from the entrance, you need to bend down n walk as it is inside a cave. Nice experience of visiting a Darga.
* Four wheelers are allowed till the top, hence parkin might become a problem.
* Early morning is an ideal time to visit this place and spend some quality time.

From outside the place is scenic with beautiful western ghat mountain range but when we descended for Dargah visit barbed wires n iron fencing pose curiosity for us. Very serene place inside but pained to knew that this place has communal dispute. Muslims claim Baba budans place n Hindu claim earlier Datatrey worshipped there. Years ago even Baba Budan was worshipped by Hindus! It can happen only in India!

This place is situated about 40 km from chilmagalore city. This is sacred place for both Hindu and Muslim religion. One needs their own vehicle to reach the place as public transport not available here.

Chikamagalore a place worth visiting after the monsoon rains. Baba Budan giri is one of the prime tourist attractions of Chikamagalore. A breath taking view of the green carpet mountains and the blue valley is worth all the travel troubles spend your time here a soul soothing experience. I suggest visit during September and October.

You can get bus from Mumbai to Shimoga. And then from Shimoga to chikmgalore you get lot of buses.
From train. Get Mumbai to Bangalore train, get out in Birur or Ladies, from there you get lots of bus to chikmaglore.
By flight, you take flight from Mumbai to Bangalore or Mysore and take bus to chikmgalore.
