One of Bangalore’s busiest markets, the KR market, hides this surprise: an elegant palace built by Tipu Sultan, with teak pillars and frescoes. Though incomparable to the more famous Tipu Sultan’s palace at Mysore, this is one of the relatively unknown monuments of Bangalore. Visit this palace along with the ruins of the fort nearby. Also nearby are a temple and a mosque.

Palace is built by teak wood and has 2 floors with balconies. Paintings (only some are left) on the walls depict stories of Tippu's bravery.

Little palace, but very rich history related to Tipu Sultan the Tiger of Bengaluru. Loved the Islamic architecture and the gardens surrounding palace.

worth a look; if you are into history a must visit. Don't expect a huge fortress, but the place has a few things of historical importance. please don't hire a guide as you may not need one.

Visited on 12 Aug 2017. Not worth visiting. Very small and very mediocre. Staff at the counter needs to educate himself with Indian geography and its diverse culture. We were almost prohibited from entering the place because of our physical appearance.

Nice and quiet place in a busy area, near to KR Market Metro. Small, but pleasing attraction to visit if you have some luxury of time. If you are running short of time, skip and you will not miss much. Kota Venkatramana swamy temple -...More

You can get in and will not miss anything in the summer palace. Please be aware -the main ramp in is very steep.

It does not have dedicated parking place, I remember parking my car on the road outside.
