About
One of Bangalore’s busiest markets, the KR market, hides this surprise: an elegant palace built by Tipu Sultan, with teak pillars and frescoes. Though incomparable to the more famous Tipu Sultan’s palace at Mysore, this is one of the relatively unknown monuments of Bangalore. Visit this palace along with the ruins of the fort nearby. Also nearby are a temple and a mosque.

It is Tipu sultan's summer palace and a great historical place too. We were surprisingly amazed by the wooden construction and architecture carvings.

Must visit attraction in banglore.

I love this palace but do wish it was being better looked after. But the reason I’ve downgraded it is the difficulty of getting in there - it’s a QR system which in theory should be efficient but it doesn’t work; the security guy had to put his own ID details! And having done all that I had to write our details in a paper register book… really?!

This is an amazing palace made of teak and, if not hot and humid, is worth a walk through. You will need a guide to get the best value

You can tell that this palace was absolutely beautiful at one time, unfortunately it has not been maintained and is in poor condition. If you happen to be in the area you could add it to your itinerary, but I wouldn't make a separate trip.

Not worth the hassle...no ticket counter. Had to pay via Google pay to security guard who insist the need of local number. Nothing much to explore than a single building.

The palace has some very ornate sculptures and paintings. The outside is covered in sheeting so doesn't look that attractive. However go in as the interior is much more interesting

We visited this palace during our Bengaluru day tour. The palace has not been kept well & has been recently pushed as a tourist attraction. Due to which most of the things have been freshly painted & does not look like an original palace. There is nothing much to see inside & can be skipped. There is a compulsory online ticket booking required to enter the palace, so pre-book the tickets.

Tickets for the palace (near the Fort) can only be bought using a QR code. To get an Indian SIM card you need two local numbers, OTP..... They ask foreigners 10 times the price, but no effort, no service. The Fort on the other hand is free of charge an beautiful.

Nice historical site. Have to buy tickets in advance or pay at the gate.
Lovely gardens and the fort is only a short walk away.
