This temple is small but the architecture of the temple makes it great. The priests at the temple were also very humble in nature. This place fills you with positive energy. There was also a small pond and coconut trees near the temple.

My father was an ardent devotee of Lord Guruvayoorappan and a visit to the original temple in Trichur in Kerala was atleast undertaken once every year until his health made it difficult to travel. So for me, it was a God sent blessing when someone mentioned this Guruvayoorappan temple in Bangalore . We were charmed by the temple and the setting. It was so reminiscent of the Kerala we had left behind. Starting with the drive on Kanakapura road, which is very green once you leave the main city areas behind, right upto the little rivulet that flows almost around the temple, and the liliy and lotus plant with blooms in the vicinity as well as the priests who were from Kerala , speaking Malayalam and following all the customs and rituals followed in the original temple, everything was in place. An additional bonus was the fact that this was a peaceful place with ahrdly anyone around. It was pure bliss to just spend time in the temple premises and to walk around the area. The deity was similar to the one in the main temple and we had the same connect .
The temple has dress code for men . Only dhotis are allowed. But they will gladly lend you one to wear without any charges . They also conduct all eremonies, like annaprasa, marriages etc.

This is perhaps the Guruvayoor away from Guruvayoor. Beautiful serene temple located on the outskirts of Bangalore .. calm, peaceful and silent. The Murthy is very nice (what else can you expect from Guruvayurappan :) .. )
Definitely worth more than one visit !!

It is a lovely little temple on the Kanakapura main road very similar to the Guruvayoor temple and run by typical kerala priests. Had been here for the solid food feeding ceremony of my daughter. The atmosphere was very serene and temple is well maintained.
