This is one of the easiest treks I have ever been. The main monolithic portion which could have been challenging is carved into steps and it makes this trek a cake walk. It is an ideal trek for first timers or even children.
We went with BMC on 15th August and enjoyed a lot. We forgot to carry our lunch boxes and the trek leaders were kind enough to arrange for us.
The entire trek was smooth with mesmerizing views. However in the end our trek leaders took us inside a cave which was quite thrilling as well as challenging. There were certain sections where there is a chance of getting stuck unless we know the proper technique. Not the entire group but some of us did try this adventure and helped each other throughout. This became literally my highlight of the trek as this is completely something new that I tried that day.
I highly recommend anyone to start their trekking journey with this trek but will not recommend attempting the caves without technical help.

Overall the trip was good but found the infrastructure and management very amateurish.
1) The vehicle provided was not comfortable and specially for the ones sitting in the last row as the seats were not recliners.
2) Basic facilities like serving tea and coffee were missing and had to 2 kms to get one. This is very pathetic.
3) The accommodation provided was just horrible. How can you provide tent accommodation in april!!!!!!! The interior was so stuffy and humid that I could hardly sleep. All I expected was a good nights sleep after an excruciating trek....but again was extremely disappointed.
4) The common washrooms were unhygienic.Just pathetic.
Please charge more but provide the basic facilities.

One of the best Monsoon Trek to visit. It's a amazing experience with the mist and rain. The thick green forest stretching view is breathtaking ! Thanks to BMC and co-ordinator Nikhil for his friendly nature, professionalism and hospitality!

It cost nothing to join, the membership of BMC is free. You pay only for the trek you signup for. Soon we will have yearly membership where you pay some lumpsum amount and get access to treks of higher valuation of the membership fees
Thanks

Hi Rashmi,
I have done some 6 treks with BMC and my overall experience of going solo has been good so far.
BMC has professional trek leaders who take care of the participants throughout the trek. Food, Stay & Travel are included in the package.
Its worth going with BMC. Give it a try.
Happy Trekking.
If i would like to choose night trek . How much would sleeping bag and bonfire cost me. And is there any parking facility available for bike and if available what is the cost?
neerajmalve
Bengaluru, India13 contributions
Bonefire, Sleeping bag is included in the trek cost which normally is around Rs. 1000. Near our office its a public parking place, you can part there for free, but there wont be anyone to look after the bike. However, right now we have stopped all night treks due to permission issues. Thank you

Hi,
I would like to get a contact for a guide for Anthargange Night trek because me and my friends want to go for this night trek tomorrow night i.e. on 10th of September.

Night trekking is completely banned in Karnataka. To honor the decision made by Forest department/cops we have stopped trekking during night or supporting them.
I suggest you to go for a day trek to avoid any legal complications.
Thanks
