Neighbourhood: Jayanagar
In the Silicon Valley of India with an ever-growing cosmopolitan base, Jayanagar which is close to Lalbagh Botanical Garden, a pre-independence era, 240-acre garden in the heart of the city, is predominantly inhabited by the Kannada-speaking locals, and let’s you do old-timey Bangalore as only Jayanagar can. Widetree-lined avenues and single-story houses with gardens are a characteristic of this historic Bangalore neighborhood. The planned locality is highly popular for itsiconic food, music & cultural hub, its markets, and its plethora of vast beautiful parks. Walk along the mains and crosses – a true signature facet of the garden city, to explore nondescript and no-frills cult eateries that have built their reputation on single dishes like akki rottis, ragi & jowar rottis to khara bhath. Head to the historic Yediyur Lake, which is a favourite spot for all joggers & walkers for a tranquil stroll.

This waterfall is around 45 kms from Bangalore on Kanakapura road.We can get a city bus till Kaggalipura and from there we can hire an auto to TK falls for 300-350 rs .
We need to walk for 0.5 kms from Parking area.It is very nice to see the water descending from a big rock.Only the problem here is people will get into water and won't come out for hours and it will be difficult for others to take photographs. They are putting all garbage everywhere and spoiling the beauty of the falls. It is very exciting to climb the big rocks and see the beauty if waterfall from various locations

Worst place to visit.. We went thre on 8th August around 10.30 AM.. There were around 500+ cars and its parked on the road.. So we parked our car and walked for almost 1 KM hoping to see some nice views.

When we reached the waterfall it was like a mela ground and so many people were in the water..

We just stand there for few minutes and all of a suggen a guy slipped from the above rocks and fell into the stones.. He fell from around 15- 16ft high.. it was so scary and luckly he was concious and the people rushed him to nearby hospital.

After this incident we also left the place..

When we reached the car, there were locals who came to collect parking fee :O
They said 80/- . We didn't have change and he said he also dont have :P

so we ended up paying 100 Rupees for nothing

Such a horrible experience.. Please don't visit this place. Its dangerous and time waste.

Please don't visit TK Falls. The forest security says it's permanently closed since 1.5 years. Yet I know so many have in the last 1.5 years. Idk why they were not being untruthful. When me and my frds visited they did not allow us and did not speak responsible for all the tourists visiting there. They were irresponsible towards updating the public about the falls being closed. Don't appreciate such behavior

Road is not good. The location is not a safe place to travel with family. Lot of mischieves by drunken people. We had a terrible experience, I would not suggest anyone to travel with family, wives, girlfriends or children.

I recently visited this so called waterfall on forst week of july..when we started we were expecting atleast a small waterfall..but to our disappointment not even a drop of water in the fall was seen. The way to fall is not that good but thanks to google maps bcoz of which we reached the place without anyones help..when we reached to our surprise there were just few locals and the place was very dirty..we could found some used paper plates, empty bottles of whisky and what not..we parked our vehicles and started towards falls..there was no sign board neither some one to tell the way towards fall..on the way to falls there is a small temple where we saw some local families doing some puja and chicken sacrifice to god..was little scary and we didnt even go near temple..then way forward a lady speaking in local language started howling and asking for money..when asked why do you want money the only word we understood was cleaning the place..we were forced to give her 50 bucks for no use..there was no water in fall and the place was too deserted..will not recommend for family , girls and couples alone..

Hope I had some negative star to give but unfortunately I have to give one star.

Hope this review help people in avoiding visiting an horrible place.

We went in a group of 6 person to this place after reaching we have seen the board that falls are probihted due to some criminal activities reasons one police guard will be there he won't allow u to stay there.
But story Begins now when we were returning disappointed we thought we will do some time pass near lake that was on the way. We stayed there for 10 min then we decided to leave. When we were about to start from there two guys came fully drunk they started fight with us we thought it's not a good place o fight we planned to run from there as girls was also there with us there security matters. Meanwhile they called some more guys to beat us tried to rob us. We successful escaped from there thankfully.
After reaching bannerghatta road we informed police regarding the issue.
But this was the first time that happened to us. Because of this thing we never ever go to this place or recommend anyone for the same to go there.
Please avoid that place.

This is a nice decent waterfall to be visited in Bangalore . The place is 2 hours away from Indiranagar and Koramangla. The place has no ticket so its free of cost. There are no boards to guide you to the waterfall so use google maps. The falls are coming from a great height.. Must visit place in Bangalore ..

its an exciting place to go by cycle as the terrain pass through the bannerghatta park, exciting view all through the way. Once you reach its a bliss to watch the water fall. at the foot hill you need to park your vehicle and climb up, For those who are adventurous can climb and and experience the water flow, else be at the bottom to get a good shower on top. Both are exciting. Carry your food & water and be careful about bottles around.

People need to be little adventurous and patient for this trip. Its a road less traveled. Google maps will certainly help. You never be certain till you reach there. Always advisable to go during rainy season, or else it total disappointment. Not a regular tourist place. Very peaceful, authentic village trip and single footpath guiding you. We were lucky to spot some friendly families and locale boys. Otherwise its said may be haunted by drunkards. My advise, "not for elders who cannot climb and for fussy travelers. Pack some home cooked comfort food and have a peaceful picnic.

After a bumpy ride through scary village we reached the place and found nothing but a rude security guard. From his Kannada mixed Hindi conversation he conveyed that the place is closed due to more crimes at this place.

It's a complete waste of time.
