About
Cubbon Park dons many hats: a green lung in the heart of the city that also hosts a library, museums, a tennis academy, an aquarium, a toy train and many statues and pavilions. It’s probably one of the only parks to have a busy road cutting through it. In the wee hours of the morning or evenings, it’s a jogger’s paradise. Spring adds to the beauty of this park, with the lovely and colorful Tabebuia trees in full bloom.

The area
Neighbourhood: Cubbon Park
In the heart of the city’s business hub is Bangalore’s most favourite garden. Cubbon
Park is a beautifully maintained 120-hectare garden where all the local residents of the city take a break. A landmark ‘lung’ area of Bengaluru, the gardens are dotted with a lot of colonial heritage and charm, which are today a part of the state capital’s political centre. Home to the red-painted Gothic style State Central Library, the magnificent Vidhan Souda built in Mysore Neo-Dravidian architectural style, the neoclassical Attara Kacheri built in 1864 and housing the High Court, oldest museums and GPO in its vicinity, a trip to Cubbon Park is a great heritage walk. Sundays at the park are quite a treat with a plethora of activities to choose from - concerts, fun runs, yoga, tiny farmers market, the list is endless.

- Saibal SSan Francisco, California2,259 contributionsBeautiful Green Lung of Bangalore! This verdant park reminds us as to why Bangalore is called the Garden City. It serves as a very important role of providing space for the residents and visitors to this very crowded and growing city. Folks go on walks here, even though I wish the vehicular traffic was blocked. Plenty of shade, large variety of trees and flowers. And recently, I noticed that many beautiful wooden sculptures have been added to the park.Visited December 2019Written 2 January 2020
- moogul818New Delhi, India761 contributionsMust Stroll ThroughThe Park is Bangaluru's "lungs" and will invariably fall within your route on your sightseeing trip to the city. Has several historic attractions ( State Museum, High Court, Legislative Assembly) integral to it. The park is well maintained and has some rich flora. It is definitely worth a stroll as you move sightseeing from attraction to another in ts vicinity.Visited January 2020Written 16 January 2020
- Aditya AntikaLondon, United Kingdom60 contributionsGood for a morning day out1) Quite a massive park where you could go and relax, take it easy, kind of park. We went there in the morning; I was used to doing my routine yoga which you can do that quite easily. You will find a lot of people doing their routine exercises, yoga etc. 2) You can also go for the Aquarium (if that's open) or the Musuem (if you like museums and open). We didn't go for either of it. 3) I would say quite a nice place where imagine as a couple you would like to sit and talk, then this is where you can come down. If you are a group of friends and bored of your everyday life, this is where you can come down too. 4) I cannot think of somebody taking a flight all the way from the Delhi or Bombay just to visit the park because you will find something similar in your own city too.Visited December 2021Written 17 November 2022

We were very disappointed with our Sunday visit to cubbon park. We waited for 45 mins to enter children's park and gave up. The computer at ticket counter was not working. Then we thought of taking a stroll inside. The park has so much plastic garbage all around that we decided to come out. Just at the exit we saw a stray dog biting a girl. That ended our trip and we rushed back home.

Bangalore is known as the Garden City, and nowhere else is this better exemplified than in the serene Cubbon Park. The area is quite huge so you can easily spend a few hours here and with your own spot. Not only is it dotted with tree foliages, but also fringed by historical monuments and a few museums.
