It is one of the largest existing lakes in Bangalore. One can witness a beautiful sunset on the bank of the lake. But it is polluted and there are signs it may disappear in the near future.

There is sufficient water in the lake now after years of dryness. I have seen sailing boats on the lake in my younger days. There is an agricultural farm and a poultry research centre nearby.
