About
On February 26, 1995, on the auspicious day of Maha Shivratri, the Shivoham Shiva Temple was inaugurated by Sri Shankaracharya of Shringeri. Since then the Shiva Temple has become a revered spiritual destination for devotees and visitors. Year after year, with Lord Shiva’s blessings, the temple has transformed into a destination of faith that attracts millions of devotees from not only India but all around the world. The main attractions of the temple include the 65-feet-tall Shiva statue, the 32-feet-tall Ganesha statue, the 25-feet-tall Shiv Ling, Paanch Dham Yatra, and Barah Jyothir Ling Yatra.

If you're looking for a peaceful place for worship and meditation, this spot is definitely worth a visit. Right at the entrance, there’s a Shivalinga that sets a calming vibe. I opted for the special darshan, which costs ₹250, and it included a lot of spiritual activities. There’s the Shivoham jaap, tying threads on the pillars, special abhishek, the Paanch Dham Yatra (inside the cave), milk abhishek, and the Jyotirlinga Yatra. They also have this interesting wishing ritual with a miracle coin, diya lighting, temple aarti, and even a 20-minute meditation session. The idols of Lord Ganesha and Lord Shiva were huge and beautifully crafted, and just looking at them felt really calming. The temple staff were friendly, which made the whole experience even better.

One thing I felt could improve was including prasada and archana in the special darshan package instead of charging extra. But overall, it was a good experience. If you’re visiting Bangalore, I’d say this place is definitely worth checking out!

I visited this place twice. Jotting down both the experiences.
1st visit 2013: There was no entry fee. Temple had big Shiva statue. All the devotees were directed to big Shiva statue. As per the guidance i went near the statue, pray to God and clicked some pics. The holistic vibe of the temple will soothen the mind.
8th September 2019: Temple had two different entry fees. Normal darshan : 50 rs, special darshan: Includes different pooja. Most of the pooja again priests will ask extra money. It has become commercial place for priests. None of the priests know kannada and have too much of attitude. Temple has 12 jyotirlinga and big Ganesh statue. Good place for one time visit.

The temple is good and has novel concept and tries to include all the possible major holy places related to Lord Shiva in India. However, the bad part is that they charge INR 250 per person for normal visit. This is not good as poor people and people with large groups will have to spend a lot of money.

Shivoham Shiva Temple is well made temple. But instead of being kept as a religious place it has been more of a commercial place, where visitors are forced to buy expensive tickets & perform poojas and other activities without their knowledge. So, beware before entering the place that you are not forced into spending unnecessary money.

SCAM ALERT: There is a scam going on.
BEWARE.
1) It is clearly written on the entrance that the "Only darshan" entry is free and Special pooja entry is 250rs per person. But when I asked for free entry then the lady in the ticket counter said that "free entry is not open" and we have to pay 250rs to enter.
2) Inside the temple, lots of pandits will offer puja and after 5mins of puja they will ask for money as "daan" or "dakshina". Avoid if you want to save money.
3) Other than this the temple and idols are beautiful.

I asked my driver to bring me to an interesting place and he brought me to this temple. Had to pay the VIP entrance of 500 Rp as we were foreigners. A gift bag and tour is included in this price. It was a mind blowing experience as the priest brough me through each ritual.

A fair sized Shiva temple complex. They have mini replicas of char dham.
Entry ticket is rs 250. The free entry is as good as nothing. So, it is out of reach of common man.
With the entry ticket, many sevas are included. It is a decent experience. The Shiva statue is a grand view. Some more sign boards at entrance will help.
The pujaries are highly commercial. At every seva point, the pujari ask for dakshina. He keeps repeating it until you put some money.

Stop selling you gods Hindus!! Which god would agree that their Bhakt should buy ticket to meet them?? This is a scam place just to consume black money. The place is beautiful but its a scam. 250rs to see the Shiva and 500 Rs to offer prayers per head. That’s just unbelievable. Money is not the problem for me but I don’t believe in buying tickets to meet my gods.

The whole place is a scam . First they charge 250 per head to enter . The priests are all arrogant and they are disgusting. They ask Dakshina as soon as u approach them ..its worst than begging .The whole experience was disgusting . The people managing the temple look like goons than priests .

This place was better 15 years back..Now its completely changed . Not worth visiting .

This is not a temple but seemed like a theme park. Right from the entrance they start asking for money and offer different schemes. The Shiva statue is huge but there seemed no devotion. Everything is commercialized and money making in the name of God.
