Neighbourhood: MG Road
One of the most popular shopping, entertainment & business hubs of Bangalore that beautifully binds the old world charm of the British era with the modern cosmopolitan vibes is MG Road. It is one of the busiest main streets of the Bangalore Cantonment connected to its larger family of colonial streets that spread through the city, sprinkled with the charm of oldest buildings and churches. From hopping across cafes, restaurants and the oldest pubs & clubs of Bangalore near Church Street to street shopping at Brigade Road to surfing through best book deals at Blossom, MG Road is a convenient getaway for all locals who just want to chill. The evenings near M.G. Road are incomplete without a stop at U.B. City on Vittal Mallya Road for the swankiest nightlife with some of the best rooftop views of the city.

This is one of the oldest book stores in Bangalore. Standing at 3 storerys high, this building has a wide variety of second and first hand books on multiple subjects. You will definitely find all possible fiction authors here. The staff is very friendly and helpful and can help you navigate through this place. The ambience is very rusty and once you enter you will just feel like sitting down and spending your day reading.
They also accept old books which you can sell here at half its mrp and then use the same to buy books from blossoms.
A must visit for every Bangalore bookworm!

This is a wonderful bookshop where a wide variety of books on different subjects are available. There are both new and used books available at very reasonable rates. I, for one, was thrilled at the wonderful collection and ended up buying more books than I had planned to. A must visit for book lovers if they happen to be in the city

Blossom is probably the best and biggest bookshops in Bangalore. It has two shops in Church street. One can buy all kinds of books on all kinds of subjects. They sell both first hand and second hand books.
There are really good discounts also for all the books. The older bookshop has 4 floors and the newer one on Church street has one large floor.
One can buy books on philosophy, yoga, travel, fiction and non fiction, children's books, computer books and so many subjects. They are mostly in English but some Kannada and regional language books are also there. Most of them are Indian editions but has a good selection of foreign printed books too (both first and second hand).
One can actually spend hours just browsing the books here, such is the depth and breadth of its collection. Its an absolute must go for all book lovers in Bangalore and tourists too.

This is a place for all Book Lovers - whether you are a student, researcher, travel enthusiast or simply an ardent reader - this place houses an amazing collection .
Located in church street (there are two outlets actually both on church street), place is easily accessible.
Experience - from the moment you step in , you are welcomed by a sea of books. from the latest releases to the classics. from new to used books, this place probably has all.
It has multiple levels where you can browse by interests. even though it may seem a bit overflowing with books, it is neatly organised and the staff are really helpful , if you need to find a specific title or section.
the pricing is also great, especially on the used.old books.
Visit to believe it.
and there is Indian coffee house across the street if you need a snack.!!

If you're a reader, this is the place to go. I've never found a bookstore like Blossoms before. You can easily get lost in the stacks and stacks of books they have in every nook and cranny of the store. All three floors are literally packed with books in each corner of space available. They have first and second hand books, and sell their first hand copies at a discounted rate. The second hand books are in decent condition and are extremely cheap. They have a vast collection of books spanning all genres. Their collection is quite impressive, they have everything from fiction to non-fiction (crime, romance, mystery, YA, comics, educational etc). They also have a great selection of new releases. There are two outlets on church street, one opposite Amoeba (which I would recommend because it has a bigger selection) that can be hard to miss because the entrance is pretty small, and one at the start of Church Street near Brigade Road (opposite Starbucks). The actual experience of buying a book can never be beaten by online shopping, and this is truly a place that embodies the spirit of buying and reading books. You can sell books here (they buy the books at half price or lesser depending on the condition). It is a common sight to see someone dragging in a suitcase laden with books and selling them only to refill the suitcase with a new collection.

A book lover's paradise.
Huge collection of books - new and old!
Found magazines dating back to the 80s.
We spent almost three hours there.
I'll definitely go back there soon.

Well entrenched on the cobbled Church street behind MG road , a coffee at the legendary Koshy's fuels you for the world of Blossom Book house. Three floors of it, arranged by old , new, authors and genre at prices that are
U N B E L I E V A B L E in this day and age. I picked up the entire collection of Robert Ludlum including 2 first print hardbound copies...beat that. This is probably the avid readers Mecca.

Something about flicking through the books which cannot be replicated by an Amazon or FlipKart. Love it.
