This is one of the oldest place in Leh. There is nothing to see inside the palace, renovation work is going on inside the place. But palace is very big and build upto 6 or 7 th floor. View from top is very beautiful. One side area is full of greenery and other side raw area.

It's quite expensive for foreigners to enter at Rs200, and most of the palace is just plain empty rooms. But it is an iconic structure and if you are in Leh, then you do have to visit. It's an uphill climb through the charming old tow, or you can drive to almost the entrance.

This place is a wonderful reminder of the true Ladakh Royalty. Although I'm not sure but maybe it is not being well looked after. The roof and floor has been subject to decay and it has been subject to weather as well. It is quite old also. Do visit if you're a fan of Architecture and stuff.

It's at walkalable distance from leh market...entry costs 15 per individual for Indian and Saarc nations citizen..for others, it's 200 inr. Views are excellent from palace but it's not maintained and even very limited or almost no information available about the palace. If you are in leh , you can visit once for the views it's offer from 7th floor.

In leh, we went to this place , thinking that we would be getting interiirs like a palace but its very old and empty inside. No one was inside and it was very dark. There is hall which has paintings in it. From balcony you can see the whole city which looks beautiful. Overall, it gives you a very adventurous,... More

This palace is 75 percent restored to ensure its longevity and for the convenience of the visitors to walk around it. The Palace takes you back in time when the kings ruled this magnificent hilly area. The whole palace has low ceiling and entrances as the average height of the kings were very less. The very place the palace has... More

I should say it is famous being a old structure and popular touristy place. All it offers if great views of the city and a bit of history. People can skip this. Carry some water along.

Leh Palace is a former royal palace overlooking the Ladakhi Himalayan town of Leh. The temple architecture is basically medieval Tibetan architecture. The main features of this style of architecture are massive buttressed walls and overhanging wooden balconies. There are some murals still left in the palace that speak of the royal glory of the bygone era.
