This lake is spectacular, however if you have already visited Pangong, may feel repeatation. Also hotel options are very less unlike Pangong. Overall OK, but Pangong is superior. Also if you are interested can venture out few nomads close by, they are interesting. I personally loved it being explorer & wanted to visit them.

Personally, I found this Lake to be superior to Pangong for 2 reasons: One, the water is an incredible deep blue colour and surroundings are fabulous. Two, it's an even more remote location - not many choose to come here because of the distance. There is pristine beauty here which we relished. There are a few rare species of migratory... More

If I am taking the road from Manali to Leh, I was clear that Tso Kar and Tso Moriri cant be missed. And not only was I correct, I indeed will cherish always, to have taken that decision. We started off early from Tso Kar, though the distance is only about 90 km between these two places, since one thing... More

Lake Tso Moriri is preceded by Lake Kiagar, a lesser known lake with amazing emerald blue water. We were so awestruck by the beauty of this lesser known lake that after an hour or so we finally realised that we have to cover quiet some more hilly terrains to finally arrive to our destination..Tso Moriri. The road continued down a... More

What can I say about this. I had heard a lot about Pangong but before starting for Ladakh I had done some research on Tso Moriri as well. Not so well known since no movie has been shot here and also the tracks which leads to Tso Moriri are bit rough and bumpy. But when you get there, its a... More

If you're looking for some downtime and want to rejuvenate yourself by indulging in some soul searching - just head to Tso Moriri and hit one of the hills on the banks where some of the migrants stay. You'll find yourself humbled by the sheer beauty and this wonder of nature. Snow capped mountains, crystal blue waters and clouds dancing... More

While most people and guides/hotels Dnt encourage tourists to go to lake moriri however is splendour and breath taking landscape can be explained only on visiting. Between May to Aug you will find many tent accommodations there however normal rooms are very few in fact just 3 good places with rooms.. The rooms and hotels are very basic but people... More
