“Oh, the places you’ll go.”

A friend and I had visited Manali and subsequently travelled to Rewalsar in the first half of 2020. Diwan Thakur of Himalayan Yeti Adventures was our chaperone for the journey. He was very knowledgable, always sharing intresting insights and information about the places we visited and was a wonderful guide throughout the whole trip. The equipments and vehicles provided were top-notch and he was always punctual, very accommodating plus adjusting to our sudden shift in plans due to change in travel dates and excess snowfall. I was even provided with extra jackets and shoes as I needed them. We had a wonderful time exploring the new places(Rewalsar and surrounding regions) and having yummy local himanchali food with the best honey ginger lemon tea ever!!! Next visit, I am planning for skiing and trek with them and am completely positive it will be a trip to remember. I highly highly recommend Himalayan Yeti Adventure for all your present and future adventure needs ;) ! Thank you Diwan and team.

Me and my friends choose Mangankot trek for our day hike and it was really our kind of place offbeat type. This was our first snow trek experience and we surely made right choice by choosing HimalayanYeti.
It was great experience. Diwan Thakur from HimalayanYeti suggested us this place .He was very knowledgeable and always shared useful information with us.
Our trek guide Sanju had a personal touch to the trek and it never felt like a business service.
Overall it was one of the best day I had in Manali .The trek was fantastic and challenging and everything we hoped it would be. We ended up with some great pictures, and everyone really enjoyed .I would definitely choose HimalayanYeti again for my next trek and hopefully a more challenging trek 🙂

We went for a 15 day Himachal trip in January. We spent the last 4 days in Sethan completely for snowboarding training arranged by Sunny Bhaiya (Himalayan Yeti)
These 4 days were the best 4 days of our trip.
Everything about these 4 days like training, travel, location, stay, food, and people were so organic. Loved every bit of it.
We used to get up at 6:30 in the morning in -15 degree, freshen up, have breakfast (our cook was kind enough to get up, provide us breakfast, and pack our lunch at such unusual time just for us), gear up, and then leave for the training spot while standing back of a 4x4 with super chilly wind blowing up on our faces. Everything in the body would go numb but it felt serene. Everything about that place was serene. We would reach the bottom of the training location and then climb up from there on the icy mountains and train there (we kept going higher and higher each day). In just the first 30 mins, we would be completely tired, gasping heavily, snowboarding down the hill, falling, getting stuck deep in the ice, getting out, snowboard downhill some more and then climb back, again and again. We would do this for the next 8-10 hours till it's completely dark and there is no visibility. In between, we would have our packed lunch sitting on steep terrains full of ice and huge mountains. Best lunch ever! We would then get down, could barely walk with legs completely numb from all the drainage, get into the car and move back to the stay, with the most beautiful sky, the air, and the view. We would occasionally also buy local daaru (Aara) in between to keep ourselves warm (it's pretty decent, cheap, no hangover also :D)
The sport is much harder than it looks. You can easily hook onto wrong techniques if you don't have a good trainer. Driving is tricky there with super slippery roads due to toughened ice and no boundaries around. There are wild animals. The weather isn't very friendly. You need someone who knows this sh** in and out.
You would have realized that this is not a very usual form of training and I don't think that any other travel group would entertain this kind of a regime. We were the first ones to reach the training spot and the last ones to leave.
Sunny bhaiya is the best. Really thankful for all the effort put in by him to create this wholesome experience.
In love with the place, with the people, with the intensity. Would definitely get back as soon as possible.

I had the best experience in Manali so far with Himalayan Yeti. I could learn snowboarding decently well, going down slopes, making turns in just 3 days. It definitely exceeded my expectations and am glad I had my learning experience with Sunny. He's very friendly and taught us well, stayed with us throughout and corrected all small mistakes, taught theoretically as well as practically ofc. Most importantly he was really helpful and patient while teaching us.
I'd really recommend anyone wanting to learning adventure sports (snowboarding for sure) to connect with Himalayan Yeti. It's worth every penny.

We roamed around Manali to choose the best option for our trek and when we met their team, a sudden trust was built. They without any doubt are the most professional and amazing team. Our alpine trek to Patalsu was a fantastic experience and it would have not been possible without them.

It was my first time in Manali with my friends. We all 3 chose Mangankot day hike. We wanted to do a trek which is less crowded and kind of offbeat. We had never heard of this trek and it was suggested by Diwan Thakur from Himalayan Yeti. And without any doubt, it was the exact kind of trek we wanted to do as we did not see even a single soul other than us. He was so generous and friendly. Plus he was very flexible with timings and tolerant enough to give us this experience even after (near about) cancelling our plan twice at end point.
Our trek guide Sanju (but we call him Yeti) was a very calm man. He was very okay with us in turning our day hike into a night hike as well. We never felt like we are facing any kind of difficulty when he was around.
Overall it was an excellent experience which I would love to relive again whenever I get the chance.

The guides at Himalayan Yeti were fantastic. They inspired me to trek higher and harder than I thought I was capable of. They encouraged me when I was finding it really hard, but also trusted that i would find my inner strength by not babying me either. They know these mountains I felt safe. I would recommend using these guys.

First of all thanks to Sunny bhai and his crew members sanju, vimal etc. for such nice arrangements and facilities provided throughout the trek. You guys took personal interest to make our trek safe n comfortable. We, a group of 7 friends n colleagues did this trek in mid September 2016. Most of us were first time trekkers with little experience of trekking in grand Himalayan terrain, and the trek we choose was one of the challenging trek of this region. We completed the trek without any major difficulty n enjoyed a lot with lifelong memories. Thanks a lot to Sunny bhai n his team; aap bahut acche log hain sir ji😆😆.
