This is 2nd time we are renting bikes from Brm Expeditions and every time it has been a great experience. This time we rented a new Triumph Speed 400 and it’s was a brand new machine. We are glad to see so many varieties of bikes here not like others where you just see Royal Enfield’s . Would suggest everyone to consider brm for rentals once in Manali

Rented a Himalayan from Brm for my trip to Spiti valley! Bike was in neat condition. Even though I rented older bike that was bs4 it didn’t even give me any problem though it was 2019 model. Tyres we new and bike was serviced properly. We have other Himalayan’s which were 2023 models rented from another place in Manali but they were poorly maintained. Rate was little less but bike was full of issues. Glad I chose brm and out of 4 people I was the only one who completed the trip successfully thanks to brm .

i Found out about Brm expeditions from youtube and then decided to hire himalayan from there. Bike was in great condition. i was guided perfectly for my 2 days journey and got all the advice needed on places to visit and all. Overall it was great experience . There are many rental shops in manali so please be carefull where you rent your bikes from. team here is very professional and they treat you as a friend rather than a client.

Frightening, we got broken bikes

Hello Arnon,
We are sorry you feel that we tried to blame you for anything.
You rented 2 bikes from us for a duration of 20 days and after15 days, dropped us a message saying that the bikes were in terrible condition.. we merely asked you to bring the bikes back so we can check them and upon inspection , we told you that the wheel bearing needed replacement. The spare wheel bearing was provided to u along with the other tools but you never cared to check the package. Also, you never even informed us that there was any problem with the bike, till the 15th day.. The company can only tell you what to do in case of a problem if you reach out to the company.
A basic thing to do in this case was first contact us if you felt there was anything wrong with the bike, which you did not do.
Secondly, No one was blaming you , we merely told you had the spare wheel bearing all along and if you checked the bag, you would not have had any problems.
We obviously cant change the experience you had and are sorry it was a bad one but it could very easily have been avoided had u just made a call. we believe there's an opportunity for us to learn from this experience .

In October I was renting Motobikes three days in a row. All the bikes were in perfect conditions and very very cool! That’s one of the reasons why I couldn’t stop biking to the mountains. Beside the bike conditions, the service was great also - fast and welcoming. After such experience my wish is to make a bike tour around India ✌🏾✌🏾✌🏾

we took as a group guided tour to kinor and spiti. for 12 days on royal Enfield motorcycles. and it was very very well organized and in very good manner. alot of good service always with a smile helping on everything the view of the mountains is very spectacular. i was feeling like I'm in a middle of a dream fo all of this days

What an experience!
I had very high expectations from this trip and BRM, Anuraag and the team exceeded them by a mile!
We had the pleasure of having Anuraag accompanying us. He provided explanations about history, culture, religion, location, politics and more. He is fascinating and knowledgeable individual. Being the manager, it was always a joy to watch him work, solve problems and come up with creative solutions.
The team is attentive and genuinely cares for the guests well being. They listen to any special requests. They are flexible and creative enough to modify the schedule according to need or request. The support crew is excellent and able to take a bike apart and put it back together again very quickly in case of any fault. (Thanks Himanshu! ). The support team is exactly that - a team that works well together, a group of hard working individuals that make the experience unique. I doubt that many companies can pride themselves in such a smooth professional operation as BRM runs.

Rented Royal Enfield Classic 500 from BRM Expedition from Manali. Bike was in excellent condition. We completed our journey from Manali to Leh and vice versa. Bike did not even show a sign of breaking down. Had safe journey on the same and had most fun i ever had along with my wife on Leh tour. Thanks to BRM Expedition for providing quality service.

no. we are afraid you would need a proper drivers license in order to rent a bike.
Can i go to rohtang pass by rented bike? And i need permit for it?

Only cars are allowed to visit Rohtang pass and return on same day whereas bikes are not allowed to visit Rohtang pass and return on same day. So if you are planning to visit Rohtang pass from Manali in your own or rented bike then make sure you don’t return from Rohtang pass on same day otherwise you will be imposed with a fine of 5000 Rs.
Hi We are planning a trip from Manali to Spiti valley on bike in June. are the roads very difficult to drive as done have much experience of bike rides. Is it safe ?

I rode the Spiti Valley loop from Manali, plus Manali to Leh and Srinagar last year. It was fantastic, but yes it would probably be difficult and dangerous (rough roads, cliffs, traffic) for someone without much bike experience! It is not the place to learn to ride a bike.

Dear Derek ,
There are few option that you can choose from but it all depends on the time wen you are coming. If you are planning to come after May , you can visit north of manali into Lahaul and Spiti valley.
If you're coming before that then there are tours running towards south of Manali and would cover places in Himachal Pradesh itself. Please mail us and we would send you detailed itinerary.
You can fly from Delhi to Manali.
Nearest Airport is in Bhuntar which is 50 kms before Manali.
Other options would be to take a Volvo bus that would take you from Delhi to Manali. busses normally depart around 5 pm and would arrive in manali at about 7- 8 AM.
Private taxi's are also there.

Rental would varies from 1000 - 1600 Rs/day
Do make sure you book in advance as manali would jam packed during that period.

I am visiting manali on 21 september, i want to visit rohtang Pass on 22nd morning and come back same day. I want to book bike for 3 days. 21 22 and 23. Please guide if permits are available for bikes? Can we return on same day from rohtang? What will be the charges including the permit?

for rohtang pass permit is about 700 Rs. for bike rental is vary, starts from 1200-1800 Rs/day.

You can get the Permit from Himachal tourism, if you are going with your own bike but if you take bike from there then they will give you the Permit.
