Solang Valley is the one where all the winter snow action is in Manali, at least the best one, there is a lot of natural beauty in Solang Valley, It’s just an hour away from Manali town, it has two levels, the base level where in you won’t have much of snow, it’s a parking zone and eating zone, you can take an ATV ride to the top level which is 5km away, this is where there are breathtaking views of the snow capped mountains and you will find abundant snow here, Always dress well in multiple layers plus jackets, snow boots and gloves, you can buy or rent them on the way too, There is paragliding, Zip Lining, Snow Sliding and all can spend time rolling in the snow and making snow balls and snowmans and playing around. It’s a must do winter excursion while in Manali.…

Tonnes of activities at the location but too crowded. Parking and jams are a major issue. Being a very popular location it is thronged with people. That makes it a poor location for people who want to experience pristine snow. Great for people who want to experience activities like paragliding, snow scooter, quad bike, zorbing, horse/yak ride etc.…

Ride towards solang valley is beautiful. Snow clad mountains is a treat to watch. At times it’s crowded but you can get away with it. Route is definitely narrow and keeps you on the edge. Adventure sports like Short snow bike ride, paragliding etc. is available but don’t know how safe it is and its not worth the money. Just go towards the interior and you will get good photographs. From there you can go to the Rohtang pass/ tunnel also. Make sure you have a good pair of boots. otherwise you are destined to fall as I have seen many falling down and getting injured. towards the evening the crowd will disappear so does the street food vendors and it will become a deserted place. you can roam around freely and take good photos and enjoy the silence. hats if you can sustain the weather conditions. otherwise its better to get ack to the hotel.…
