A Wonderful Museum
Mar 2020 • Friends
It is difficult to write a review that isn’t different to what has already been written in previous reviews.

A fantastic modern museum displaying a lifelong collection of cameras and photographic history through the last 180 years.

It was amazing to see such a massive collection of cameras from the early years and a pleasant reminder to see those from the last 40 ... from those I used as a pure amateur to those I have sold when working for a well known UK retailer.

An add bonus was a quick chat with the founder Aditya Arya whose passion for the subject shines through, thank you for your time. Even the ticket design is unique.

A worthwhile visit for those interested in photography and/or history. If you are in the area, take some time out from the hectic Haryana streets and visit this wonderful museum.

A Labour of Love

This is a unique museum by any standard in India. The collections of cameras, history of photography and all things associated comes alive within the space. The ground floor is a permanent exhibit place with the first and second floors display changing themes. A must visit for photography buffs and enthusiasts. An added bonus is the great restaurant within the premises. It complements the museum and it's class perfectly.

If you love photography, this is surely the museum to visit but if you love history, this is a must visit.

The vast collection is curated so beautifully as it takes you through the evolution of camera. The beautiful original pictures tells us the stories of the period.

A day well spent.

Rich, inspiring, interesting

I've had the good fortune of visiting some of the most celebrated museums across the world, Museo Camera experience for me is truly contemporary and world-class. For those passionate about photography and connoisseurs this is a sacred space that must be visited, not just once but repeatedly. Curator-Director Aditya Arya has passionately executed his life's dream and put out his personal collection for everyone's benefit. For a generation that takes photography for granted - and perhaps will never know the significance of neigbourhood studios, color labs, 36-shot rolls, negatives & positives - this place can be a great eye-opener. India has a poor museum culture - thereby rendering such spaces 'educational' and hence 'boring', Museo Camera surprises with its engaging storytelling and fun spaces. The overall experience can be summed up as delightful, insightful and time well-spent. More power to Aditya and team!

Wonderful museum of photography equipment
Nov 2019
This museum is the personal collection of Mr Arya who has collected a wide range of photographic equipment across the ages, including some rare cameras. The displays are very informative and the museum is certainly worth visiting - a hidden gem

New, World Class Museum on Photography
Sep 2019
There are many places to visit in India, but for photographers Museo Camera should be an absolute MUST. Comprised entirely of the private collection of Aditya Arya, this museum has been a lifetime in the making. It contains a timeline on the history of photography around the world that holds stories and surprises, as well as gallery space and conference rooms and darkrooms for workshops. This is a MUST SEE if you are a professional or an amateur photographer. You can look up their Facebook page for more information.
