No more fun to do
Oct 2020
This place was good for Picnic with family but now this place has no more fun to do. Water level is getting down with time and cause of that there is no amusement in boating and the Government of Haryana is not taking any action for it also the food is not good as it was before years. This Damadama lake will be like Badkhal lake after some years, completely dried up, leaving only grassy terrain. Better visit resorts near Damadama village.

No Natural Beauty left
Feb 2021 • Family
This is more like nala . All credit goes to us. More people more plastic.
Boating , Camel Ride are available for children are there. If you are in Gurgaon and have young kid then you could go for these activities.
Natural Beauty lost totally. Maggi stalls , Tea stalls are there with reasonable prices.

A dirty water pond
Jan 2021 • Family
Went on 26 Jan, it's just a dirty water pond surrounded by fields and village. Boating available but due to lack of water it's not a fun. May be there will be more water just after rainy season. Small vendors , maggi, camel ride, etc available. The area maintained by Haryana tourism has a good park with car parking. One can sit in the park and enjoy. Some activities like zipline, rope bridge, trampoline etc available on nominal charges. There is a restaurant but we ate our own food in the park. Most of the people take their own food and eat in the park. In that sense it's a good picnic area.

Nothing much in terms of lake but good park.

Excellent stay
Oct 2020 • Family
We went right after Dussehra and the hotel was following all COVID precautions and protocols. Extremely good food. Brilliant activity for children infants young adults and couples - paintballing archery rifle shooting. They had an active spa which I didn’t use. Room service was extremely active. We stayed in 101 which was 2 rooms converted to a suite. Very spacious and perfect with a young child. The room opened into garden area and it was very close to nature. Highly recommended.

Th Resturant outdoor sitting is also very good and extremely good service.

Nice place but lost original charm
Mar 2020
We have been going on and off to Damdama lake since last 35 years. The latest visit was on March 10, 2020. It had been developed nicely around the year 1985 with the Haryana Tourism resort nicely placed overlooking the lake. The environment of the lake is beautiful surrounded by small hills which perhaps form the catchment. On March 10, we noticed more water than couple of years earlier, perhaps due to decent rain in the last monsoon. There are good number of birds, including painted storks and spoon billed storks. The surrounding hills are green and pleasant. The drive is good through the villages. There is a Taj Damdama resort close to the Lake, which is where we stayed. But Taj property does not offer views of the lake though the hills can be viewed from there. There also couple of other properties. What irks is the ill maintained Dyke. The village on the other side of dyke has now grown bigger. The authorities do not seem to have involved the local villagers in promoting the lake. So the area remains dirty with good amount of garbage strewn around and good number of pigs moving around. The Haryana Tourism resort seems to be a pale shadow now. So, while we will continue going there because of the birds and natural surroundings but it the Lake is not at its full potential. I have another house in Udaipur and the lakes there are maintained there so much better.

In a bad condition
Dec 2019 • Family
Water level in Lake extremely low. Hardly 3-4 feet. Most of the part is dry. 12 years back it was a good attraction where it was a beautiful water body having 15 to 20 ft depth. And good place to hang around and boating

Well.. barely a lake
Feb 2019 • Friends
Travelled quite far into the remote villages to have a view of this famous place. To my surprise, well there wasn't a lake, it was just a small stream of water and dried up land. Had a few stalls and kid swings, that's it. Being at such a secluded place, the area seemed a bit unsafe so left well before sunset. Not a place worth the hype or worth the name "lake "

Dried up

Nothing to see. The lakes has very little water. However boating option exists, and some people do go boating. There is a functional Haryana govt guest house.
