Unless you know where to find this little pace, its quite difficult to locate it. Thankfully Google maps has its location marked. The best time to visit this place is monsoon (as its a waterfall in the dry state of Gujarat).
I went there last year's monsoon.
Pros: Lush greenery, gurgling water and a narrow cobbled curving uphill road - picture perfect. The water is crystal clear and the waterfall is quite big at the peak of monsoon. There are also green fields nearby which serve as beautiful picnic spots.
Cons: There is quite a rush of people on holidays and Sundays. Try to reach the spot early in the morning to enjoy the peace and quiet of the place.

80Km drive from Vadodara. When we visited the place the waterfall had dried up(may be because of winter) and we were walking on the stones. We could manage to visit the Hanuman temple in a small cave which is at the top of waterfall. We visited the Hathini Mata temple in a cave at the bottom of waterfall and the temple priest helped us to figure out the Hathini statue craved out of rock. We enjoyed the place very much but, it is not a good idea for elderly people to visit this place(very rocky and people can lose grip on it).

better to climb up and bathe in the small pool instead of going down for a waterfall.. superb view and amazing experience.

A one day fun-filled picnic can be planned. We had a great time under the water falls. As the name suggests a temple, it is more to it. A temple where you trek and go and on reaching there are caves which you need to cross to see the Goddess and Shiv-ling.
Nice water-fall and lush greenary around but with many stones and peblles strewed. We stayed there for like 3 hours and carried on to visit other places near about. We went to Darbargarh Palace, another nice property, a little spooky with activities in theri menu which were childih and silly. Not really recommended. In case you plan to spend the night, you can still go there since the rooms are royal and beautiful. But activities are a big NO NO...
We then went to Sukhi Dam which is also good and also visited the Jami Masjid. A nice serene place. Over all we had a great time but make sure to carry your own food since finding a dhaba is a little difficult.

Rains continue in vadodara. Its time to catch either overflowing of Narmada Sarovar Dam or 2nd option is here. It's staight 80 km away from vadoara just a few miles away from Pawagarh. Its reallly enjoyable straight drive except 15 to 20 km which is not bothering you due to its beauty of greenery narture. Then sitting under the falls of water is just awesome. U might not find eatery items which u have to carry urself.
But overall its a great place to have fun.

This is a very good waterfall located in Jambughoda district. It is located 19 kms far from Jambugodha wild life sanctuary which is one of the best place for a picnic.I had visited the place with my friends in february 2014. There is a cave temple inside the water fall and you should cross it to reach the big water fall. Very cool and nice atmosphere. please take care of slippery rocks while climbing the falls. We enjoyed a whole day with the cool water.A must see place. Enjoy .......

Hathni Mata Waterfall is situated near Jambughoda Sanctuary and Pavagadh. It's around 75 KMs from Vadodara and 175 KMs from Ahmedabad. The place is nice with lots of greenery around. It's a good place for a small picnic. Though the day I went there, there wasn't much water so falls were dried up. Still, it was too crowded! The roads to reach there are very narrow so you can stuck up in traffic jams on weekends when there are many visitors. One can verywell enjoy bathing under waterfalls.
Checkout my video of the waterfall https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Z5oKdipJuM .

I want to plan 1 day short picnic with my family and search on internet I found this place having water fall and greenery all around but after 3 hrs driving when we reach there it was totally dry, no water fall, no greenery. When I ask local villagers they told that this fall is active during monsoon season. So please don't go between October to June. Only 4 month of Monsoon season you can have natural site seeing.

Will there be waterfall in this season?
Written 21 December 2017
The chances are less to have a waterfall is generally it is during the monsoon season there is water. I am never been there during this time of periods so I am not sure on my comments but if you manage to find water let me know.
