Large collection of artefacts and Raja Ravi Varma paintings. Maintenance of building structure can be a tad better.

Never visiting again. Phones are also not allowed, there not much to see. Fees are high compared to my experience. Place is not good for small children, because of nude images on wall.

Maharaja Fatehsingh Museum is located near Laxmi Vilas Palace but the entry to this museum is from the last gate which is near the flyover. Please note that this is not at walking distance from Laxmi Vilas Palace.
Located in a 2 story building, this museum is full of paintings from Raja Ravi Verma. Mindblowing is also a very under stressed word for the paintings. A person who loves art, understands the paintings, can spend hours and hours at this place. But at the same time, if someone is not interested in arts, can skip this museum. Further, for any average interest person, if one is visiting Baroda Museum and Picture Gallery in Sayaji Baug can also skip this as it may appear repetitive. But for art and painting lovers, this is a paradise. Time spent here can range from 1 hour to 4 hours depending on interest.

What a wonderful collection of paintings and artefacts. There are paintings by renowned artist like Raja Ravi Varma to International celebrities. Armoury, dresses,
and chandliers, shows the taste of the rulers of the bygone era. Must visit place, to know our history

This museum isn't as well known as the palace but it is magnificent in its own way. Beautiful paintings by Raja Ravi Varma and other artists as well as the some of most unique artifacts you will see.

Vadodara City itself has a museum in Sayaji Baug, but Maharaja Fatehsingh Museum is an class in itself. This museum has a separate section of Raja Ravi Verma paintings. Worth a visit.

Visited on 13.2.21. Found Not worth visiting. Not at all. Nothing to learn. Entry ticket Rs 150 + 30 for audio guide. very costly. Even reaching there is a problem. Ticket sale person at Laxmi Vilas will persue to by combo ticket Rs 375 for both places i.e Rs 25 discount. Not recommended at all. just waste of time and money. There are hardly any buyers at the museum all are coming with combo offer purchased at LVP

This museum is famous for its collection of paintings especially the ones of Raja ravi Varma. Probably they have the biggest collection, compared to Mysore palace and the Trivandrum Art Gallery.
The audio guide was very helpful. Being a private collection of the Gaekwads, they charge a higher entrance fee compared to other Indian attractions.
