Keep aside a couple of hours for this Museum to capture the essence of the paintings of Raja Ravi Varma...each a masterpiece to study and enjoy. Apart from a room entirely dedicated to his paintings, there are sculptures from across the world, all given by the royal family of Baroda that at some point of time passed it on to... More

It has a rare collection of Raja Ravi Varma's paintings and I do not think any other place in India has such collection.

Other Huge collection available. Olden civilization history can be known and easily understand to one who visit this museum. Worth for money.

The paintings are beautiful but sad to see the government has failed to protect them and they are treated poorly. They will perish soon if not taken care of. Hopefully the government will take some action.

I wanted to give 3.5 stars. However, that option is not there. The museum is filled with some good collections of raja Fatesingh. It is very informative and attractive. But, without guides it may not be very informative. Have some guide to explain its significance. Entry fee is 80rp per person

Initially it was a closed Motibaug school for the offspring of the Maharaja in Lakshmi Vilas Palace located in about half a kilometer from here. With an extensive collection of items of Western European (mainly painting and sculpture as... More
