A must see sight in Gir. The water fall is perineal but flows with a great force in monsoons making it a must see scenic site. Approach road is uneven and requires maintenance, you also will have to walk a few steps but it is all worth it. Unfortunately there are no public amenities, no proper parking, no security railings at the waterfall. So please be careful. It also is a great photographic spot. Don’t miss it if you go in monsoon or soon after it.

The waterfall was good but from the approach road to parking place to the walk to the waterfall to no safety barricade, litter everywhere speaks very poor of the facilities for tourists.

It's the only waterfall in Saurashtra region of Gujarat which is evergreen throughout the year.
It's on shingoda river in Gir forest region.
It's at very height but it's very dangerous and almost impossible to swim in the fall area, however you can have nice swimming in the upward river.
It's nearby to Sasan of gir and gir century area.
There is jamdagni ashram nearby the waterfall where we can prepare food on our own.
Overall , a must see place while on visit to gir jungle.

Name of the waterfall sounded strange and we had never heard of it before, yet we decided to visit it on our way back from Sasan Gir.

One of the routes to the Jamzeer waterfall travels through Talala. We could see many orchards with mango trees blooming with flowers even around mid December. No wonder that Talala is a major supplier of Kesar mangoes.

We also passed by the Sidi village Jambur. Iconic 'Sidi Saiyad ni Jali' of Ahmedabad flashed on our mind. There are many theories for Sidis being in Gujarat. However, the most convincing one is that their ancestors were brought to Gujarat by kings or merchants as slaves/labourers. Sidis speak fluent Gujarati. Some of them work as drivers/guides for Gir forest safari but most them are still working as labourers.

Jamzeer waterfall is located near Jamwala village where we reached within 1 hour 20 minutes from Sasan. Google maps had been very helpful to us through out our journey but destinations of some Indian places are such that even google maps get confused. In our case both, out driver and google maps, got confused about the correct path.

We repented our decision to visit the waterfall and wasting our time in search of it. Guided by some villagers, we finally reached to a place where there was neither a road ahead nor any sign of waterfall in vicinity. We could see a lone tent shop selling juices. To our surprise, shopkeeper confirmed that we had reached at correct place and volunteered to guide us towards the waterfall.

After walking a short distance through rocky and uneven terrain, we reached to our destination. The first sight of the fall made us to forget all our pains. Jamzeer waterfall is small but beautiful. White, serene flowing water appeared like pearls falling from strings. Water in the pool below is dark. One can imagine spring as Radha, running and merging into Shyam.

Beauty of the place is beyond doubt but it is located interior and remains isolated most times. Cautious approach is required while visiting it and is not advisable for patients with knee or similar problems. Depth of pool is also not known and presence of leopard or hyenas may not be ruled out in surrounding caves. Possibility of unpleasant incident may be avoided by not venturing at odd hours and going too near the fall.

After watching waterfall from a distance, we went nearer to the place where streams are merging into a spring and spent some time listening to the sound of flowing water.

The place is very beautiful with an active waterfall throughout the year. Nearby people come to take bath just few steps upstream of the waterfall. The waterfall's beauty will force you to click your numbers of selfies. But be alert, few people have lost their life here in want of challenging poses in selfie. Enjoy the beauty of the nature but be careful as well.
