One stop place for your all kind of household decoration things & the cloth stores they keep there with fabulous collection is attractive. The stores do have wide collection in colors, designs and ranges. I love the way they welcome you and show you what they have.

WRONG PHOTO OF SPOT. I am herewith sending correct photos and this should be corrected by trip advisior for visitors who will be not misleaded. Ahmedabad Haat is near Vastrapur Lake just a walking distance from my home. We often visit the Haat. It is runned by Government and known for exibition of Handi Crafts, Khadi and Mango. We regiularly visit in Summer season when exibition of Kesar Mango without carbidewhich lasts almost for 1 month.

Amazing place for people looking to buy Indian Traditional items. Close to scenic Vastrapur Lake. A must visit to buy traditional items, clothes, show pieces. You can interact with the actual people who make this items. Amazing time spent there. Good place to take your family along with you.

An absolute waste of time! I went seeking for traditional Gujrati Art and Craft pieces. But this turned out to be as good as a small time evening pass time for the locals. Its a shame they charge an entry fee of Rs30 for this sham. I walked into a stall that seemed to be the only stall with some interesting bed sheets and stuff with handwork. The seller was obnoxious. He was absolutely reluctant to show a bedsheet without me promising to pay for it. Walked into the reception and left a feedback. They heard me but was evident that they weren't interested either. Overall a terrible experience.

This is placed in vastrapur area and famous for exhibitions like handloom expo, khadi expo and mango fest. etc; they have fix days for activity. one can get good materials and mango from here.
pottary and other exibit items are good for buying. Can see people making such items live here. not exactly tourist attraction. it is like small scale handloom market.

A must see if you visit Ahmedabad. The museum contains a lot of historical documents and photographs. It was amazing being in the same room that Gandhi lived in.

There is a very modest eatery called 'Enjoy' opp Vastrapur Lake, Ahmedabad. It is difficult to spot this place as they operate from basement. But they prepare delicious non veg food at affordable price. It is completely no-frills restaurant not really recommended for family eating out. But you can always pack your food.

Bring your best bargaining skills and score some absolutely lovely handmade, traditional textiles from local craftsman. Since it's a concentrated shopping area, it's easy to go from stall to stall and it allows you to compare what you like and prices and such. Some of the best items I saw were the ornate bedding and pillow covers and so many colorful scarfs.
Overall, the Ahmedabad haat is very nicely set up with shopping stalls and some snack vendors, as well, if I recall correctly. Most of all, it's free to go in and just look around! I think I spent about an 1 hour or so there. I'd recommend the visit while in Ahmedabad.

Located very near to Vastrapur Lake, this place hosts various events promoted by Gujarat Government. Exciting events but parking is always a big issue. Recommended though.
