Nice overview of life of Gandhi. Bookstore has inexpensive copy of his autobiography. Museum is minimal but full of good information on his life.

Should take your kids to give them a good idea about the history of India. They also have a audio guide which works on your smartphone with their wi fi to give proper explanation of each place in the ashram. So, it becomes more interesting as you get to know more about the ashram.

Sabarmati Ashram is in the heart of Ahmedabad at the bank of Sabarmati River. Nice museum. One can buy books and other stuff at the souvenir shop. Parking for cars is limited.

Its must go for one time at least, here you will find lifestyle items of Shri Mahatma Gandhi which he uses in those days, quite peaceful place not so jazzy but one must go and understand sitting in such peaceful environment how he has changed the entire country and us.
