It is a small temple - good to visit early morning or late in the evening. Very quite and divine place. The temple has a series of Shivlings in a cave. These Shivlings are washed by the Ocean waves from the Arabian Sea.

Gangeshwar temple is a series of shivlings in an cave which is situated on the rocky shoreline of Diu. You have to descend round 20 steps to see the shivlings, here the sea water washes the shivlings during high tides. Nice scenic views of the beautiful Arabian oceans near the temple.

Well this is the famous n much revered Gangeshwar Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva where devotees come from afar to seek salvation in an atmosphere of tranquillity as they fold their hands... More

Its very ancient place where sea waves touch lingam of lord shiva. Five Shivalingas that were supposedly established by the Pandavas during their exile period.

The temple as such is not much of a temple. Its a small place between the rocks just next to the sea. There are three Shiva Linga which people can go to. I did see a person doing complete pooja there, not a typical brahmin but a regular guy. There is a barricaded are to stand there because the sea... More

The Gangeshwar temple is towards the outer edges of Diu, 2.5 kilometers away from the INS Khukri memorial. The best thing about this temple is although it is a popular spot, it does not have the maddening rush of devotees that make visiting any temple very difficult. I reached at around late afternoon. A few people had gathered, mostly tourists.... More
