We had some time to kill and figured for $2.50 we couldn't go wrong and we very pleased to make the detour. Much larger than expected and a great selection of animals that you could get up close to. What is amazing is that their...More

Loved that all the animals were out and it was easy to find. Definitely needs some updates but it was nicely set up. Wish the souvenir shop had its name on shot glasses and magnets. Only had it on t-shirts and hats. But I would...More

It's true, it is not big but the folks here do a lot with a little. First of all, I challenge anyone to find a zoo of any type in a place the size of Alamogordo. Secondly, if you do, find one this well maintained...More

We stopped at the zoo while visiting White Sands. It was small, but inexpensive and interesting. The employees were helpful and informative. There is also a playground that our son enjoyed. Great value and worth a stop!

It was ok for the fee , about 5.00 . Animals look like they are well cared for. Not sure I would visit again. But it was nice.

The animals are enjoyable to watch. The gift shop is great. The playground inside the zoo area is convenient. The new aviary is beautiful!

Pretty cool little zoo. Small but neat. The bears where out when we went, and he was curios. The Mountain Lions are huge! Fun place, and fun playground. My son loved the Iguana!

Nicely shaded and the price was right. We walked through to view all animals twice and played on the playground. We were there two hours. This place was clean and friendly. Some animals were in buildings but were mostly out second time around.

I don't think they rent wheel chairs there, but it appears to be fairly wheelchair friendly with all flat land and concrete walks. I hope this helps.
