Set against the west-facing escarpment of the Sacramento Mountains, Oliver Lee Memorial State Park features scenic views from 44 campsites, historical exhibits and a fully restored 19th century ranch house. Springs from Dog Canyon support a variety of unexpected plant life on the short nature trail and for the adventurous, the Dog Canyon National Recreation Trail rises 3,100 feet in 5.5 miles.

The 1 mile riparian loop is easy, scenic and quiet with only the sound of the adjacent stream. A shaded picnic table perfect for a little picnic or snack.

I'm so glad you noticed the tent pads. We're trying to make it easier for our tenters. We plan to add six first-come first-served tent pads and one in a reservation site. Come back and see us again and try one of them out!

This park is very well maintained. Only a few of the sites are reservable. Most are first come. Love that. If you get a chance take the ranch tour. The area is rich in history. There are also a few great hikes in the park....More

You can spend time in the Visitor's Center, camp, go hiking..............enjoy nature and escape noise, traffic and other irritants.

Seems like we used to hike a lot further to see Frenchie's but now that I'm pushing 60 I won't complain about the short walk. I did walk down the trail to the river but it's been wash pretty bad and was hard to follow....More

We had a trailer in Site 2 which was fairly level. Site 1 across from us also looked fairly level. Great stay.
