LAMMASINGI- Mist of Bliss
Nov 2021 • Couples
Lammasingi, a place 75 kms away from TUNI rly station (On the VIJAYAWADA- VISAKHAPATNAM ROUTE) is a place of scenic beauty. We visited the place on the 21 Nov 2021. The moment we got down we were slightly disappointed . However, in about 15 minutes, there was thick fog much to our delight.Since we are senior citizens, we could not venture the trekking, climbing and such related gymanastics-). So we set out to a place called TAJANGI, 10 km into Lammasingi. That place was full of greenery, fog, mist and we were literally lost in the scenic beauty. Howevr, do not compare the place five years or thre years ago. Lot of tourist traffic. So expect crowds on weekdays. If you want to have less crowd, plan your trip betwen a Tuesady and a Friday. There is an attraction of" Abseiling" for the adventurous guys, kids, women...We couldn't, though our spirit is willing. Carry your own drinking water. There is bottled water available but one should be wary of the brand.. Finally, on the Roadside, in a make shift place, a woman selling hot, soft ,steaming idlis, Mysore bondas with chutney is simply mouth- watering. Though we were 61above, we devoured. Enjoy the scene with a bit of boating. Do not waste more time in selfies😀😅

Overhyped

Overhyped, not that good place to visit but can be visited once a life time tht too nly on season, off seasons strongly nt recommend. On season i recommend to book ur rooms early in government provided hotel rooms which are better then any tents (if in group tents are recommended to rent)
Don't expect good food there.

Not worth
Dec 2020
Visited in December. The place is really not worth a visit, as there is nothing much. The place has a couple strawberry fields and a view point, which you need to wake up early, to see the place covered in dense clouds and fog. There are no good hotels or food here.

Overhyped. Unsafe. Unorganised.
Was so excited like so many others to visit this place. It was utter disappointment.

Lot of visitors of different religion people.

Worth visiting
Feb 2020 • Family
This place is about 3 hrs from
Vizag. Part of the route is hilly .After Narsipatnam , you may not get snacks, fruits or any other necessities. Even though google maps worked till it showed the hotel we booked, there was no signal at all and so contact your family or friends before you hit the hills. Accommodation is good except for the fact that the toilet is outside. During wintry nights or for senior citizens, it may be tough. Food served by hostess was good and she is very courteous and helpful. Early morning walk in dense fog tasting poori, idlee in a roadside hotel is a good experience. Strawberry fields are beautiful to watch. In a nut shell, unspoilt beauty, village atmosphere, sans urbanisation. Loved it.

It's feast for nature lovers. Especially the trek and the view once you reach the top. Trekking through coffee plantations is different experience but have to be careful since the way is bit slippery and inclined.

Excellent in peak season
Jan 2020 • Couples
The lovely short distance hill station near Vizag. An incredible sunrise viewpoint in Andhra Pradesh. Adornment to the Vizag Tourism.
An exclusive attraction in peak winters. Other times its just like Araku. You've got to reach by 4 a.m. or at the least 5 a.m. The views are worth it. A small 1.5 k.m adventure trek in the forest area makes it even more exciting.
Our very own Strawberry farms are a major attraction.
