Had a wonderful time with Saurabh on a three-day photography session at the Pushkar Camel Fair. This had been a bucket destination and event for me for a couple of years, and I was not disappointed. Saurabh gave excellent guidance on many aspects of photography and shooting in this environment. I am not a novice by any extent, and found his mentorship to be very worthwhile, from subject selection, environmental context, interacting with the participants of the fair to post-production and workflow.
One aspect of Saurabh's style that most impressed me was his humanity and appreciation for the subjects we were there to photography. He spoke with many of the camel traders and their families to understand their experiences at the fair. This was a critical factor in developing a relationship with these people, whom were were hoping to have as our subjects.
Coming from Canada, it was a long journey to the Pushkar Camel Fair. Saurabh made this part of my trip very successful, rewarding and enjoyable. Additionally, the other participants were also wonderful, creating a very compatible small group of photographers.
I highly recommend SIA Photo Tours, and would not hesitate to sign up for another tour.

Saurabh is a reliable and friendly guide. He learnt my mistakes quickly and suggested improvements from both photography and gears point of view. I did a walk for 2 hours in the flower market with loads of learning. Highly recommend this to my shutter friends.

Amazing walk(s) with Saurabh, planned initially for a 5h tour and ending up spending 11h together over 2days !!!

And I could have spent more if I was not that busy with work or if my flight would have been later.

Definitely a must to do in HYD !

I was back in Hyderabad on a business trip again and instead of touring around India during the weekend, I decided to stick around Hyderabad and photography some of the sites, so I booked a tour with Saurabh. Unfortunately, 2 days before the tour, Saurabh sent me a note that he had a family emergency that he had to attend to, but he got one of his colleagues to take me in his place. I was a bit bummed but I trusted that he found a suitable guide for me. Man did he ever! Naveen was friendly, very considerate and an excellent photographer. He gave me tips and tricks if I needed it and offered advice periodically but also did not hover over me. It was like I was walking around with an old photographer friend of mine. He also provided some background and history on the sites that we visited. I truly enjoyed my time on the tour as well as spending the time with Naveen. I would highly recommend a tour with Naveen!

Saurabh is a great guide! We spent 5 hours walking through the flower and vegetable market- meeting so many people. He explained some of the culture to me and really got me to be more comfortable taking photographs of people. He also took me to 2 mosques. He taught me so much about how to use my camera and more importantly, how to be confident in taking pictures in a totally different environment. This was the highlight of my trip to India!

My wife and I are in our 70's and my wife needs a stick to help her with her walking. We are both very keen photographers belonging to two camera clubs. When we decided to return to Varanasi in India we thought it a good idea to hire a professional photographer to ensure that we knew where and what time of day to visit the various places of interest.
After a bit of research we chose Saurabh Chatterjee from SIA Photo tours. He is based at Hyderabad but agreed to fly into Varanasi to join us.
As soon as we met we realised that it was exactly the right decision! Saurabh is a passionate photographer with a wealth of knowledge to impart. He has won numerous awards and has been published in several journals.
Our first meeting started at 1pm with a walk along the Ghats. Within 15 minutes Saurabh had changed my way of choosing my camera settings and introduced us to the 'SIA' (shutter, ISO and aperture) method. Remarkable! Then he had me looking at shadows and graffiti! My wife and I have been taking images for 60 years but all that changed! We ended the day will lots of great images.
We were very happy to start the next day at 4am to see the sun rise and receive more instruction. This enthusiasm continued every day that he was with us, and involved a visit to some traditional wrestling, a guided tour of Varanasi back streets and trips to two villages where he helped us with portraits. Saurabh can cover a wide genre of styles. At the end of our time together he carried out a critique of our images making lots of suggestions for improvements which he recorded and emailed to me.
At all times he was careful to look after my wife treating her like his own mother in a very caring manner. He even persuaded her to achieve things that she was hesitant to do.
However, I think the best accolade I can afford him is to say that we started as a photographer with two clients and ended as three close friends. We are very much hoping that we will be able to meet up with him again perhaps even in England!
I cannot recommend Saurabh Chatterjee enough!

I spent a great three hours walking exploring Hyderabad with Saurabh. As a newcomer to India it was great to get access to some amazing locations that I would have otherwise overlooked or not known how to enter. Saurabh provided the right mix of history, local knowledge and photography tips. I would thoroughly recommend it as a way to explore Hyderabad.

I was on a short trip to HYD and Saurabh agreed to walk me and my wife around Golconda and Qutubshahi grounds. And it turned out to be a very pleasant walk/interaction.
I am a photographer myself and to me it was clear that he has a keen eye for the light. He showed me some spots and angles that I possibly would have never accessed or realized on such hurried trips.
What impressed me even more is his passion and genuinely helping attitude for what he does. I wish him all the best…and hope to take one of his many travel workshops in coming months. Cheers.

I attended Saurabh's weekend photography class and then attended the follow up photowalk session in Kothapet Fruit Market. Saurabh knew all the best locations and vantage points for unique angles required for great photographs. He shared his feedback throughout the photowalk, which made it an amazing learning experience. I could easily notice the difference in the way I was approaching a photograph by the time we completed the photowalk. In all, it was a very enriching experience, looking forward to the next one.

The bike photo tour was one one in a lifetime experience. Saurabh knew the right locations, time of day, and angles to take the most amazing pictures. We visited the following places:

- Aza Khana E Zehra – A Grand Ashurkhana (Ashurkhana)
- Badshahi Ashurkhana
- Charminar
- Mecca Masjid – Best Places to Visit in Hyderabad
- Khursheed Jah Baradari
- Qutub Shahi Tombs – Best Places to See in Hyderabad

I have attended also one of his photo workshops and I learned a great deal of tips and tricks that improved my photography skills substantially!

I am looking forward next time to join one of his week tours to North India. That would be amazing. I highly recommend!!!
