If you visit this place with friends it can be fun, if you visit this place with family it can be a little boring given it is mostly about a light and sound show that tells you what was the history of this place in Amitabh Bachan's voice. It had brilliant architectural designs to make you feel like today's world... More

Golconda Fort is amazing with a checkered history. Constructed by monarchs 1, 2 and 3 of Qutb Shahi Dynasty, it is indeed an architectural and acoustic marvel of India. The fort has seven walls and is spread almost in an area of 4.4 km. It is well preserved and one must take a guide to know the history of the... More

Like Charminar and Musuem, Golkonda Fort is one of the most famous places to visit in Hyderabad. One of the best part of this historic monument is the way a gatekeeper at the gate can alert a person sitting right on the top. Completely mind blowing ... they came with such an architectural master piece during those times.

I really enjoyed Golkonda. Make sure to take some water, because there is much hiking and quite a vertical. Views from the top are extraordinary, and I enjoyed learning about life here some 400 years ago. Definitely worth a visit if you find yourself near Hyderabad.

Today, even after almost 800 years, the fort still stands as one of Hyderabad’s greatest architectural wonders. One of it’s gratest engineering marvels is the fantastic acoustic effects: one handclap at a certain point below the entrance dome can be heard at the highest point of the pavilion almost a kilometer away. This was said to be used for warning... More

Pretty well maintained structure. Light and sound show is very interesting. Tickets for this show are given on the spot just before the show starts.
