Kudos to the team, and a special shout out to our instructor Anmol, for an excellent time getting certified in Havelock. I completed my open water and advanced open water with Lacadives and I’d recommend it to anyone contemplating either or both. The team is very professional and has dive shops on either side of the island, making it convenient regardless of where you choose to stay. They also had a broad range of equipment (even powered masks!) overall, I’m very glad I did the certification with Lacadives!

Absolutely thrilled with my diving experience at Lacadives, all thanks to my phenomenal instructor, Havovi! Right from the start at their serene Chidiyatapu Center, Havovi had a way of making diving feel effortless and enjoyable. She patiently explained everything, even teaching me to float with fins in the open sea, which felt incredible. Diving with her felt safe and comfortable, making my experience unforgettable.
Lacadives isn't just about the stunning location or the top-quality equipment; it's the incredible instructors like Havovi, along with the supportive team members Vinod and Geetanjali, that truly make it stand out. They instill confidence and provide personalized attention that makes all the difference.

As all our planned adventure activities at Havelock got washed out thanks to the cyclone, we reached Port Blair quite disappointed.
But our resort team at PB connected us to this champion group. Few of my friends signed up for scuba diving while rest of us including me opted for snorkeling.
They turned out to be great professionals and once the paper work was over , detailed briefing and safey exercises were carried out. Thereafter kit and equipment fitting trails were done and off we were to the jump sites in three boats.
The dives/ snorkeling were carried out in a very professional manner and without any hitch. At night they came to the resort to share the pictures they had captured on their go - pro cameras
The corals and the shoal of colourful , radiant fishes will always remain embedded in our memories.

Lacadives is considered to be a 5 Star in managing scuba diving in Andamans.
But the most insensible team which has taken 11k ( almost looted) with no pictures and videos , thereby after four days mentioned that they have technical issues and the camera could not retrieve pics and videos, surprisingly no back ups
Now with once upon a lifetime experience and high priced l , would you not want to go to the cheaper guy outside who will charge you only 3k .
This diving centre must be fooling people for the past 20 years and don't know with how many they have technical issues.
Also they are attached with Taj Exotica- Havelock.
Very disappointed.

Location was truly Mesmerizing. Went their early in the morning and had a blissful view in the boat ride to the dive location.
In terms of the service, Lacadives instructors were highly experienced and professional. Wouldn't recommend anything otherwise for an activity like diving - which has risks involved in it. They taught and gave the instructions in a well structured manner. The protocols were followed with discipline.
Initially, I was facing trouble breathing. But they corrected my technique and within 10 minutes I learnt to breathe underwater with the oxygen tank.
Dive experience was something that everyone should experience at least once. It was surreal to see underwater animals, rocks and fishes. There were 2 instructors along with me to ensure my safety and take videos and photographs. The photos were promptly given to me after the dive. Would recommend you to carry your pendrive / laptop with you to take the camera content immideately.
Overall, Lacadives is the apex diving class in Andamans. And well priced as well. Would definitely repeat going when I visit there again!

We used the lacadives center at Taj exotica andamans in Havelock.
The hotel put us in touch with them before our trip and we were most impressed with the promptness of their reverts during our interactions.
I was a very nervous first time discover-scuba diver. That first stride into open water almost didnt happen. There was a lot of hesitation but the boat crew and the divemaster were super patient and did not rush me at all.
But such a thrill when i finally did take that step!
And then we wanted more.
So we did two more dives. And even though it was short notice and the dive center was already super busy, they managed to organise the dives. Also taking us to different dive sites, as we didnt want to repeat the first one. They also happily accommodated our two kids (aged 5 and 10) on the boat and the fantastic boat crew watched them while both me and my husband could dive together.
A special mention goes to our fantastic divemasters-Pratik, Govinda and Satish. They were truly splendid with the way they handled us. Slow, patient, friendly and always encouraging. Despite them doing so many dives, their excitement levels with us were always high, ensuring that we explored much of the reef underwater and didnt miss anything!
Infact, on the last dive, i had an extremely dry throat and had to surface, but Pratik encouraged me to take a break and descend again and i am glad i did as we had an amazing sighting of a sea krait and a scorpion fish!
So by the end of our trip, the first nervous leap transformed into a confident giant stride into the ocean!
Apart from the dives and snorkelling, we also did a couple of intertidal walks with them,which were super informative and thoroughly enjoyed esp by our 10 year old.
Would highly recommend them!

My husband and I did our open water dives course with Lacadives, Havelock. Our instructor Denzil Fernandes was extremely patient, professional, sweet, accommodating, helpful. We felt very safe learning this new skill from him and would highly recommend that everyone use his expertise whilst diving with Lacadives. All the other team members on the boat were also very helpful during our dives. However Denzil stands out for us as being the reason we will keep diving!

Lacadives Dive Centre offers an exceptional diving experience with comprehensive classes. The instructors are knowledgeable, ensuring a safe and enjoyable learning environment. I had an incredible opportunity to embark on a scuba diving adventure with Lacadives in ChidiyaTapu. The whole experience was amazing. The professionalism and expertise of the whole team made this a relaxing ‘work-out’ in a, for me new, underwater world. The team supported me in achieving my open water diver certification and made it an easy achievement.
The instructors are seasoned and skilled professionals, helpful and hospitable, as is the rest of the staff. All materials are well taken care of, the boots are comfortable, and the dive sites are magical.
If you get the chance enroll in either a certification program or any of their other activities. Just connect with them and you will have a marvelous experience out on the ocean.

Havovi is another name for adventure.. Scuba Diving with her at Andamans (Chudiyatapu) is a mix of surprise and care making every dive an experience for a lifetime..

Hi there, you need to know how to swim to certify as a SCUBA diver. However, a discover SCUBA dive (which is a hand held, closely supervised dive by an instructor) is possible. This costs INR 4,500 + 18% GST

Depends on how much time you have.
Chidiyatapu is closer to Port Blair and also less crowded.
Havelock has more schools and people.
But both of them are good.

Hello, I hv few queries about scuba diving...
1. Is high blood pressure is a contraindication for scuba diving ?? If someone has hypertension and which is controlled by medication can he will be allowed / safe to do scuba ??
2. Can people wearing spectacles will able to do scuba or he/she will have to wear contact lens for scuba diving ??

For 1st question its better to take a medical opinion and also consult with the Diving Company/person....
For 2nd question diving cannot be done with spectales i think and also with contact lenses....
