Wasn't sure what to expect when I got here with friends who live in Port Blair. Pleasantly surprised though. A 45 min drive from Port Blair, and this place offers a beautiful sun set that will be etched in your memory for good.

This place didn't make me feel that I was amidst islands. Surrounded by hill terrain this place gives a completely different outlook of the sea inbetween them . The sunset point 2kms before it was watching the sunset was a bliss.

Vanasthali is the forest house, where we stayed and this is the end of main land of Port Blair. One can see fantastic sunrise and sunset. However, there were boards indicating presence of crocodiles near sea. Great place for photographers to click variety of birds.
