Made an early start to bird and enjoy the hike up to the third waterfall. Humid and quite rough and slippery underfoot (wear decent shoes) but forest was fantastic, lots of birds and great views. Our birding guide, Varun Narayan, was very skilled and good company. Loved our swim in third waterfall. Highly recommend this walk.

We hiked to the first and the second waterfall, but unfortunately didn't have time for the third waterfall. The short walk to the first waterfall is maybe 15 minutes along a mostly cement walk. This waterfall is huge - loud and gorgeous. My husband did some jumping from the rocks behind the waterfall. The fresh water was unexpectedly cool. We also hiked to the second waterfall. Gorgeous, worth the hike. Maybe 45 minutes? Bring good footwear. I think we paid 36 Fijian dollars per person to gain entry to the park. Totally worth it. Wish we had more time. It was only about 15 miles to the entrance from our hotel in Matei, but the road most of the way is dirt and very rough, so it took the better part of an hour to get there. We hired a taxi driver who waited for us a couple of hours, and we probably spent about $170 Fijian for the four of us for the taxi. Make sure you have local cash.

We visited the first two waterfalls but because of time and slippery trail conditions, didn't venture to the third, unfortunately.
Nonetheless, we loved it! Beautiful hiking and views, fun and challenging trails, and powerful waterfalls. We swam in the swimming hole of the first one on our way back down. Like many "tourist" things in Fiji it seemed pricy, but if you're there and already spending money, it's worth doing.

Bouma National Park is full of vegetation and will give you a greeny feeling. Cost is FJD 10 for Locals and FJD 35 for Foreign nationals. There are 3 waterfalls inside the national park and they are amazing. One of them is Tarovo waterfall. You can reach the first waterfall within a 10-minute walk. To reach the second waterfall, you will have to hike for another 40 minutes following the trails. This will be exciting and the path is narrow. If you go with small kids, please be mindful. The third waterfall is another one hour away from the second waterfall. Indeed, I could reach the third fall due to time limitations. It was said that the third fall was the beautiful waterfall out of three waterfalls.

I did the three waterfall hike the day after a big rain and the falls were full and beautiful. The hike was a bit muddy, so bring proper shoes. I also recommend bug spray. There's only one trail so it would be hard to get lost. There's a small entry fee.

I really can’t rate this as unfortunately by the time we arrived here is was raining heavily and the track to the waterfall was so muddy and slippery we were advised not to risk it as we are elderly. I was so disappointed that we didn’t get to see it.

Perfect place and perfect timing - We were on a day tour of the Island and had been walking for 1/2 hour (Very humid in Fiji) and through the jungle we came upon this oasis where we spent 1/2 hour refreshing ourselves.
Highly recommend this place and the guide was fun- this was a tour from our Accom at Paradise Taveuni which is only 17 Burras so very relaxing

Go in the water. Just do it - it feels great! You can climb up the rocks on the left side of the pool and then walk along to the back behind the falls and jump in - super fun!
