This is not next to the old market so the reviews others have put are not correct.
The one near the old market is Sahaba mosque.
We got a taxi to this mosque for 5 euros. We only looked round from the outside as it was closed but the mosque is beautiful and we took loads of photos.
We walked to the heavenly church next which was stunning.
Worth visiting both if in sharm

Stunningly beautiful mosque in the heart of the Old market. Definitely one of the go to locations in Sharm where you can sit in peace just admiring the beauty of the mosque.

This Mosque is absolutely stunning and picture perfect. There are tons of shops around the Mosque where traveller's can buy gifts. It's really important to bargain on pricing which can be a bit of an annoyance but definitely worth it. We bought a PRADA Wallet for 350Egyptian Pounds which was initially 900 Egyptian Pounds. Bargain with the owners. If they don't want to bargain then just go to another store. You can find beautiful sand art glass bottles at the entrance of the Mosque area. Definitely a lovely gifting idea. The metal lanterns is a must buy. Scented incense sticks are a lovely gift idea to take back home. You can get this and so much more at the market around the Mosque. Be prepared to shop for a min of 3 hours.

Beautiful sacred building and looks absolutely amazing at night when it’s lit up !

We went inside to look around we had to take our sandals off before we entered and I was able to dress appropriately with the help of a lovely lady on the left of the mosque 🕌 she had lots of robes for ladies to cover up their head and bodies.

Was a lovely experience to actually see the vast area inside where the local Muslims go to pray 🙏🏽

Definitely worth a visit if on the area 👍🏼👍🏼👌🏼

Such a beautiful and atmospheric building, even for a atheist like me. This building stands out over and above the surrounding souk and shopping malls - wonderful!
