Leaving the resort by coach in the middle of the night was amazing driving through moonlit mountains. The boat crossing was smooth with drinks available. Amazing to sit between Egypt, Israel, Jordan and Saudi Arabia. The coach journey was tedious at points as we waiting for wait felt like ages for the convoy. The food at Petra was nothing special... Went through the so called Amber zone to taba, no problem here at all, 🚣 to aqaba, then on to Petra Jordan, this place is amazing and worth the money, the company I went with was #brothers safari, book with them, if you decide to go, I let you decide for yourselves if you want to go through the danger... This is a very long day 23 hours with only 3 hours at Petra itself. Petra is one of the most stunning places I have visited however if you are disabled and have trouble walking then you will struggle here. The walk to the attraction is over a mile and a half long, you can go by pony trap but... More

Although it takes 7 hours in a bus and 1 hour on a ferry, a visit to Petra is a must. After all, it is one of the 7 Modern Day Wonders of the World. Once at Petra, the guides are very knowledgeable and friendly. No problems with security and, at present, it is very quiet.

It's a long day, 23 hours for us. This is fine. The issue was the tour guide and his dedication to the various rip offs/tourist traps along the way. A few highlights: 1) Arrive at last toilet stop/souvenir shops - instructed to pee and meet back in 10 minutes. Guide nowhere to be found for 25 minutes. When we find... More
