A short but excellent private day tour from Safaga Port to Luxor

Our guide Bassem was excellent. He is knowledgeable, spoke loud and clear, and managed the trip very well. We were able to see all the places stated in the itinerary: Karnak Temples, papyrus store, Hatshepsut Temple, Valley of the Kings, Colossi of Memnon; and get back to the cruise ship in time. We had a buffet lunch in a restaurant... More

We used Ramasside for a private tour from Safaga port to Luxor with an overnight stay in Luxor. We had a driver and guide who accompanied us for 2 days. The driver was very competent on the crazy Egyptian roads, and the guide very knowledgeable but excessively talkative and a bit of a complainer, this is obviously a lucky dip... More

Safaga Port is nearly 300 Km from Luxor. Our bus ride from the port to Luxor was 4 hours (not 5 as indicated by another member of the group), with 1 not 2 stops on the way to Luxor. Our outstanding tour guide, Adham Farouk, used the time to provide our group with a wide range of information concerning life... More

We used Ramasside from Safaga port to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings. Trip took forever (5+ hours) with 2 rest stops in and 1 on way out. This left very little time at the Temple or the valley of the kings. Guide was good, had a good knowledge of Egypt and the Pharaohs. Lunch stop -- food quality... More

We did two day tours in Luxor, both with Peter Tanagho as our guide. He is an amazing guide--extremely knowledgeable about Egyptology, able and willing to answer any question to the best of his ability (and acknowledge when he doesn't know the answer, or when there are competing theories), and very friendly. Peter got to know us over the course... More

You really get a much, much better tour this way than trying to do it yourself. After spending a lot of time and money getting to A great many unique, historical locations and artifacts, why waste half your time trying to figure out where to go, when to go, how to get there, and then understand what you are looking... To see just great historical achievements being sacaralige destroyed nearly broke me. Yet it is now being reserved as a tourist excursion. Makes you wonder the about the people who built this temple. And their Decendant 's feelings on the way this is being handled.

Our trip to Luxor (the ancient city of Thebes) from the port at Safaga went to plan following several weeks of email correspondence with Eslam of Ramasside Tours / Ramses Tours. We were very happy with the tour guide Ahmed and driver. They are both courteous and considerate gentlemen. Ahmed was excellent as a guide with great knowledge and careful... More

I have had the privilege to spend the past 4 days with the wonderful Loay traveling all over Egypt to the places mentioned above. He has been an amazing guide. Very lovely and personable and very informative. After originally having some apprehensions about traveling to Egypt, Loay and Ramasside tours ensured this trip was one to remember! I highly recommend... More
