We visited this beach as part of a day tour we organized through our hotel the Royal Palms, to visit Los Gemelos (twin volcano craters), tortoise ranch and this beach. Gorgeous expanse of white sand, shared with only a few other families, super warm water and very shallow entry.

We hired taxi driver for the day (waited at beach entrance for us), is about 10 min easy walk from entrance. Totally worth the drive esp if you plan to visit the highlands on Santa Cruz Island.

Beautiful volcanic beach with soft white sand, magnificent seascapes and crystal clear water. Great for a swim, stroll or kayak. Due to its remote locale never too crowded. Great way to relax for a few hours with the sea birds. There is a bathroom and changing area as well.

this magical beach of the archipielago de galapagos is undoubtedly a natural jewel of the island santa cruz, its beauty is enveloping by its critalina waters and the unique landscape. It is one of the most beautiful beaches that you can not miss when you travel to the enchanted Galapagos Islands.

This has to be the most beautiful beach I have ever seen and I have seen a lot. The sand is so white and soft and against the crystal clear blue water just absolutely breathtaking. While there we caught at least a dozen stingrays frolicking close by. Made for some great videos. Easy taxi ride from Puerto Arroyo, about $40 RT. On our way out we took a different path and saw two wild flamingos. Made my 9yr old daughter's trip. Make sure to pack lunch and drinks because there is nothing here. My recommendation is do not pass this beach up.

You can walk (it's a very long way), bus, or take a taxi from Puerto Ayora to El Garrapatero beach, which is set off to the N and E of the town. Whichever you choose, we are sure you will have a lot of fun once you're there, with miles of sand and great animal life on offer.

Consider renting a kayak to cross the bay and see the fish on the far side.

If you take a cab, negotiate for it to drive you back via the highlands. It costs a little more but provides great views as you return home and you get to bathe in the cool, high-altitude, air for a while, very refreshing!

this is a stunning beach that we visited after the tortoise place. It has shade and is well worth the visit.

Its 40$ to go there by taxi and back to town. Windy beach, cool place. A lot of pelicans to watch, even hunting for fish……..

Very nice place, clean, quiet . We saw Galápagos Flamingos there. We were in the water there. It is not a very good place for snorkeling.

We had a nice hike to this beautiful beach. Loved being able to see the Marine Iguanas on the beach and one poor one chased into the water. Saw some really fun beach art and had a great time exploring and in the water swimming. It was not overly crowded and, except for a couple of really rowdy kids, very peaceful. The winding trail to the beach was amazing and we caught sight of birds we'd only thought about, and on the way back even got a close-up view of a couple of Blue-footed Boobies. Was a wonderful afternoon at a place that is well worth hiking to.

Again, I'm trying to catch up on my reviews from 12/19

Accesible through paved road and pathway (rode a bike from Puerto Ayora). Top notch kayak and snorkeling equipment rental . Kayaking was great, through calm bay, to three other nearby beaches. Saw lots of sea turtles, marine iguanas, small bullsharks and lots of birds.
